Trying to access Steam keys from GamersGate

I originally bought CK2 on GamersGate, and I got all the expansions up to the Old Gods on GamersGate. When CK2 switched over to Steam, I pulled a bit of a stupid move. My reasoning was "well, I already have the DLCs from GamersGate, so why should I spend time inputting a Steam Key?" This worked for me until I went off to college without my main computer.

So I have installed Steam onto my laptop along with CK2. All the DLCs I bought from Steam have shown up, and I was thinking "Okay, I'll just grab the Steam keys from GamersGate and just put on the big four expansions that I need."

Well, the issue is that GamersGate said they have run out of serial keys. Which means I can't access the DLCs.

Is there any way for me to fix the result of my bonedhead move so that I don't have to rebuy Sword of Islam, the Republic, the Legacy of Rome, and The Old Gods on Steam?

Because you needed patches from Steam and thus had to download the game via Steam and to guarantee that Steam recognises and downloads
updates for the DLCs and..well i don't see how you could play the game after 2.02 with all GG DLCs without registering them with a Steamkey.
Do i miss something ?

Anyway...on topic:

A few people with the same problem (edit: Some even had their keys revoked for whatever reason)
posted here in the Forum (couldn't find the thread anymore) and submitted tickets at zendesk.
After a while Paradox handed Steamkeys to Gamersgate in the first week of september, if i recall correctly,
but going by the comments in the Steam forum GG has never activated them/handed them out.

PS: Did you actually look into your GG account and at the DLCs ?

Maybe ask Castellon or submit a request ticket yourself at https://support.paradoxplaza.com/hc/en-us



Only posted this for info and as AndrewT doesn't seem to be around that often currently.

GG is suppose to be reissuing those keys. Contact them.

I feel someone from Paradox should grab a sword and make a visit to the GamersGate offices and maybe speak
to them in a convincing way instead.
Shouldn't they be around the corner ? Hmm..

I'm in a similar situation. Been away from the game for a while. I have the main game + a ton of DLCs (27) on GG. I wanted to get back into the game but found out there's no more support for it.
I went to my GG account but I can't find any Steam Key for the main game, and for the DLCs i get the message that GG are out of keys. I sent a ticket, but no response so far. It's all pretty annoying.....

Due to the fact that Paradox is not distributing the products with us, we are not able to provide the keys at the moment. We are in talks with the publisher to see how this can be resolved. Sorry for the inconvenience this has brought you.

Mysterious.
AndrewT (or was it Castellon ? someone at least semi-official) once said they had send new keys to GG.
My Steamkeys are simply below the forumkeys on the right side of the page after choosing each DLC individually.
It's no matter that they are not distributing them anymore.
Why is it then in this case ?

Paradox could move to their office and try to solve this in person, as far as i recall.
Unless their offices are far from each other nowadays.

Seems as if there are quite some people left without keys, even though they had contacted paradox support (zendesk).

Well, the Steam Sale was a bit of an unexpected surprise. I can get all my missing DLCs for a much more cheaper cost now.

I still won't take action until tomorrow.

This is not a CK2 tech support issue, so I'm closing this thread. It can only be resolved via the ticket system.
