I own Najerra and Viscaya so I control two thirds of the kingdom

but everytime I use a forged claim on the county of navarra to declare war on my king every single other catholic monarch in iberia joins in and beats me down!

How do I do it? All i need is to conquer this one county then I can become a king

Get you Liege excommunicated, then his familly (and other allies) will hate him and wont join the war on his side. Generally ecommunication is a great tool to weaken any opponent. If you are not able to excommunicate right away i suggest you use the time to get some new territory. If a crusade starts you need to join it, it will make the pope love you, and he will hate you king if he does not join the crusade.

nevermind I managed to do it while they were all at war

another question, do I have to form the Duchy of Navarra before I can make myself King?

I am of the Basque culture and I own all the de jure land but I can only form the Duchy of Navarra at the moment

Navigate to the Crusader Kings II\commons\landed_titles folder, open the text file inside, do a search for »k_aragon« (or whatever title) and check the »allow« clause. If it isn't present, you just need some gold and piety, two ducal titles, and at least half the de-jure territory of the kingdom in question. However, if you usurp a kingdom, cultural restrictions don't apply anyway – only when you create them.

ok yea I own one now I guess I need to conquer aragon as well

How do I find out stuff like culture restrictions?

I would like to know if there is a culture restriction on kingdom of aragon

Aragon only has the Christian requirement. Same with Portugal, Galicia, Leon, and Castille. Only Navarra and Andalusia have culture requirements.

Best way to do it is to click on part of its de jure territory, from there you can click to the Duchy, Kingdom and Empire. Hover over the "create" button when you're on the title you want to see the requirements.
