Try to Sell me on Nomadic

I've played pretty much every government type. I have dabbled a bit in nomadic, but outside of simply creating an all-consuming steppe empire, there is nothing really that appeals to me. I like the idea of settling in conquored lands, but it just feels like a bulky mechanic as it is in the game. Would it be possible to say, start as the Karluks, and build a kingdom in North Africa or something?
What is appealing about nomads I guess is what i'm asking.

Look at it this way. I love the City Fried Rice, you love City Beef, that guy over there? He's a city Chicken kinda guy. The point is, while we all don't love everything about City Wok, we all appreciate the place as a whole. So in short, if you don't like Nomadic, that's okay. It cannot really be sold to you. I myself am not a fan of tribal, but I still love tribal AI, because it adds flavour to my worlds.

You can't love everything, certainly not in a sandbox.

Nomads are extremely powerful especially when they get non-nomadic vassals at the barony level.

You can use them to set up a feudal start with an Altaic - and therefore raiding - culture. For example, one thing I did was start as a Khitan clan in 1066. Then I migrated south and into India, and eventually settled Feudal in India, abandoning my other land to the clans I left behind. Thus I was able to escape the Mongols and create a Khitan India as Samrat Chakravartin.

Most other starts are build build build, but nomads are burn burn burn, in a way that is more satisfying than being norse.

started as khan of turkestan in 866 conquered all of russia and a bit o persia and I burned everything except churches and cities in the silk road

Nomadic is very satisfying to play for the first 100 years of gameplay or so, because once you start to have advantages over your similar sized neighbors, very little can stop you from world domination.

However, I find myself getting bored repeatedly when playing nomads, you have one of the most stable succession, you have a standing, self-reinforcing army that require almost no thoughts or strategy to use, anywhere you conquer automatically changed into your religion and culture with a bit of pillaging, and your years turns into conquer, redistribute land to your khans, pillages, then conquer some more.

Inversely, it's such a pain to play the neighbor of a nomade realm.

A point I would like to add is, aside from other enjoyable things with nomads, there is some special kind of fun when you turn the entire world into a wasteland and make it 'empty', burning down cities after cities and grazing your horses on their land.

A friend of mine turned both Constantinople and Baghdad into wastelands and burned them into the ground, with no hint of a single urban development in sight. It was hilarious to watch.

Ck2 has a problem where the blobbing and the cultural and religious mechanics mean that the game ends up with a small number of homogenous blobs. Nomads takes this to 11.

I have one complaint though, and PARADOX needs to make it easier for the Great Khan to successfully auto pillage the lands because I was playing a game as a neighboring Khan and after conquering all of Greece I accidentally clicked on a county and became The Great Emperor of Limisol(which is a county in Cyprus) and lost all of my nomad land because all of it was Holy grazing land for me horses and people and I couldn't fulfill my great ambition of making Constantinople literally the City of World's desire (because it would be the only city on the planet) and had to stay with Greece and the ERE cut in half and a feudal realm that I had just pillage every province. So I went on to a turkestan campaign since it was Ironman. which is kinda silly because i had to pillage every holding in every land every 6 months or so until all of it was holy land.

Dislike them myself... to much about destroying civilization and not settling... and the free empire tier... really wanted it to balance out at a certain point where it makes sense not to have a decentralized government, like the historical reference... Mongolia like if a certain size is reached it becomes increasingly difficult

Personally, there's few things more satisfying than just driving through Europe, burning down what has been built up over hundreds of years and generally just tearing through large chunks of civilization. Eating through the Holy Roman Empire and having one's horses graze in the ruins of Rome is a special kind of satisfying.

Personally I find it deeply depressing and repetetive, but to each his own I guess.
I just wish alll the AI nomads weren't acting like they were mongols.
