Anyone who is interested in the IFU time period should check out the Mongol Empire Scenario. It starts in the year 1150. You can play a Crusader State, the Roman Empire, the Mongols, SE Asia nations, arab nations, German Empire, pretty much any country during this time. The 3rd and 4th Crusades are represented by events, etc in the game.
The scenario is still in beta but it is very stable, enjoyable and being improved. The .02 update should be released soon. The scenario is also in english.
You can down load the scenario in the Mongol Empire thread. Very simple to download and install. No cut and paste.
I don't want to take anything away from the IFU. When I got it to run, I enjoyed it. In one of the sticky threads, you can see some of my feeble work that I did trying to fix some bugs. But it was hard going alone back then. The rest of the threads are long gone.
I just want to let players, who enjoy this timeframe, know about this wonderful scenario. Things are not so lonely now.
