I'm in the UK so it may be my definition of a roundabout does not correlate with other countries.
But CSL roundabouts are not true roundabouts in terms of the right-of-way mechanics. A UK roundabout always gives priority to traffic already on the roundabout - and traffic on a roundabout never stops unless there are cars in front. By CSL making a circle out of the existing roads and their junctions, a different logic is achieved whereby traffic on the roundabout can stop and give way to more traffic entering the roundabout.
It would be nice to see what I think of as true roundabout logic
