First of all I'd like to congratulate the TRP team on their work - this mod is, from what I understand, quite complete and well sorted out; although it differs from my opinions and preferences (and I don't play it) it is no less great; after all, I am a convicted eccentric.

Now, to the point:
One of the highest points in a mod that's crowded with high points seems to be the AI which apparently does what strategy game AI's in general and HOI2's AI in particular do not: it puts up a fight. So it's simple - I'm interested in more (specific) information about it, if anyone would humour me.

Well, I've some questions to mind, and if anybody's qualified to give intel about the TRP AI, you're it:

1. Does it do contiguous amphib. landings over a wide shore, and bring reinforcements quickly in the form of overwhelming numbers and/or mech. spearheads, when this is warrantied (Jap in China and Sov, D-Day, the Med incl Spain, the Baltic trio: SOV, SWE, GER, the US)? Does it do so effectively, posing a serious threat, or at least persistently?

2. Does it use paras?

3. Does it protect its airspace, and try to bomb the enemy to pieces - like -100 IC pieces, minors down to zero?

4 (not very important, just more of a curiosity) . Does it build infrastructure?

5. What about airbases?

6. Does it release puppets, by event or otherwise?

7. And most importantly, does it manage its land fronts well enough that I cannot use tactics like in my AAR?
By that I mean that I can endlessly harass the AI to buy time when I'm outnumbered, its troop deployment is bogus - throwing everything at one front only, leaving itself open - and that I can lure it in to pockets with quite vulgar tricks and if the TRP AI still suffers from this.

1) Yes but depends on how much he builds up for the invasion (same in Vanilla)

2) Yes (as well as in Vanilla)

3) Depends on the Air AI file loaded

4) No

5) Early years but in most cases I do not let the AI build any (but it can)

6) Only democracies can release countries but only if they are not at war (not using events)

7) If you use huge surrounding tactics the AI can not see them which is why I tell people to play against the AI the same as you do against a human player which is to do local encirclements not huge ones.

1-6: OK, got it.

7: Sorry I wasn't specific enough. I'm not playing big encirclements here; I mean this: I quit a province (A) without a fight that can only be accessed by the enemy from one province (B). When they occupy A, I attack B and pocket in A, which I destroy with the forces that I've retreated FROM A with the help of B's occupiers. It's a rather cheap trick, I guess it won't kill the game if I use it only once per war.

The bigger problem is harassment. Let's say I'm hopelessly outnumbered and if I let the enemy settle in a (few) key province(s) I'll get crushed. But they're not strong there yet so I throw what's in it out. And again, and again, perpetually. The AI can't put forward its strength because it trickles in its forces. A human player would just pile troops one prov. out and, using sync arrival, crashland in the province with 70 divisions which would be the end. Does the TRP AI do that?
