Have started using TRP 0.6b and it has reignited my interest in the game. What a difference a mod makes!! :) . I am very impressed with the work that has gone into this mod and will only use this. The historical event accuracy that was missing in HOI2 and is present in TRP really gives the game a 'feel' now and is immensely better in so many ways. My heartfelt thanks to all those who made this mod.

Keep up the good work!! :cool:

I completely agree! I was a CORE guy and didnt think the game could ever be worth playing without CORE. I now am corrected! TRP is awesome , you guys have added so much to the game with these beta releases , I cannot wait to see the finished product.

Maybe the guys over at the CORE project could learn a lesson from you guys, early beta releases will keep people interested and let the "community" take part in bettering your mod. Keep up the GREAT work TRP team!!!!!!!

This will be the first version that requires its own HoI2 installation and use a new installer.

Looking forward to this TRP team -- I want to await the installer -- tried to downoad other mods in the past and had no end of trouble getting things sorted out for the MP playing aspect.

lothos, i gather from your post patch 1.3 wont be out b4 trp0.7. paradox used to patch thier game regularly. i realise they've got more games out now but its been months since an update. ive had a brief look at your mod and it looks good bu im delaying playing it as u admitted yourself the AI hasnt improved.

surely we cant be far away from the patch now?

NDA prevents me from giving you details on the patch. About the only thing I can say is Paradox is very busy with Diplomacy at the moment.

What do you mean with own HOI2 installation? I'll have to have 2 HOI2 folders?

Well, have broken my arm so I've got lots of time to myself and play TRP 0.7

At the moment have got to around Dec 39, and am preparing for Weserubung.

Being one of those players who loves fiddling with economies the 0.7 mod is so much more challenging, and the AI at this point seems to have a more reasoned strategy, with lots of bombing raids over the Ruhr and my naval bases at Kiel, Rostock, Lubeck and Bremen.....Damn them!! :wacko:

One thing I've noticed about the air doctrines is that they come in blocks of threes, and if you choose one, it automatically deactivates one of the other remaining two. If I then choose the remaining doctrine, that deactivates a previously researched doctrine, does that tech 'line' of research become deactivated???

Does that make sense???

As the German player, is there anyway of activating Naval or Strategic bombing techs, can they be 'stolen' through intelligence, or are they permanently blocked off??


I know the AI is the same as 1.2, but it does seem to work better, and does'nt seem to do such daft things anymore.

Even though the second sub tech may try and deactivate a tech you are currently researching the system will let you research it and continue down the tree.

There is no way to research Naval or Strategic techs for the Germans but a new concept is being introduced in the next patch under aircraft called schools. This will enable mission types etc... and will give a German player a tough decision on weather to improve his ground support missions even more or do naval training for his pilots.
