It is considered 6 b/c if u look it says in production 6 is being produced. Its all the game mechanics. Sorry... if u dont like the naval confrence i guess u could edit it out.
I encountered a problem of a kind. With the partition of the remnant-Czechoslowakia, the CZ decided to fight. As a result I puppeted them by a negotiated peace. As far as I understand the events, there is no way a human player can obtain a activate unit type for ARM divisions now.
Might not be WAD.
-edit-
Also, I apparently cannot manually fire events, which is rather strange.
I am at war with the allies. However the events in the tech.txt are excluding Germany as far as I can tell, while the only event in Germany.txt is AI only
Code:
##################################################
# Armor Concentration
##################################################
event = {
id = 2700009
random = no
persistent = yes
trigger = {
NOT = { local_flag = HasArmor }
NOT = { country = USA }
[B] NOT = { country = GER }[/B]

NOT = { country = SOV }
OR = {
atwar = GER
AND = {
atwar = SOV
flag = no_purges
}
event = 2027 # Danzig or war
}
technology = 2010
}
name = "Armor Concentration"
desc = " "
picture = "scientist"
style = 0
date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1936 }
offset = 15
deathdate = { day = 30 month = december year = 1999 }
action_a = {
name = "Ok"
command = { type = activate_unit_type which = armor }
command = { type = local_setflag which = HasArmor }
}
}
Code:
#############################
# Unhistoric German Path
#############################
event = {
id = 3136169
random = no
trigger = {
atwar = GER
[B] ai = yes[/B]
}
name = AI_EVENT
style = 0

deathdate = { day = 15 month = august year = 1939 }

So as it is, I am Germany, it is Nov 1939, I got the 2nd 1939 Arm Div Tech researched, am at war with the allies and cannot build tanks.
I will look into these. That second event should not be activating armor for all AI only countries unless they have the tech.
EDITED: Going to rewrite this. THere are several events that activate armor so going to slim this down to just one event. This will make it easier to handle in the future.
Wow, I defeated the Soviet Union in two and a half months, maybe I should try harder difficulty :rofl: , the high movement speed makes barbarossa much easier, even though I temporarily got stalled in the north by weeklong battles and lost Finland. Has someone else gone to war with the soviets yet? What were your experiences?
This is actually pretty cool because now I still have time to build up a navy, have to live with that naval treaty though.
There is a bug in 0.9 making the GDE for the soviets in 1941 only 0.65 but in 1942 it jumps to 0.95. So if you fight them any time prior to 1942 they are a cake walk.
I wanted to divide Czechs with Hungary (I'm Germany) - then the USSR dow'd Germany (me) and France to - then Poland wanted to join the Axis. A long chain of war declarations was set lose.
In the end I still can't build armour - should there be a date ?
The Danzig event will never fire - cause I let Poland in the Axis.

Also, there is problem with Kwantung Army sending me their entire army as soon as I linked up with Japan. What is the country_tag for Kwantung Army?
EDIT: There also appears to be a bug with China, I helped Japan conquer them ,and after I took the last province, immediatly about 1/4 of the provinces previously conquered (from both me and Japan) went Chinese again, with me and Japan still at war with them. They spawned new troops immediatly even though they have no industry.
It is very annoying, especially because all the north-western mountain provinces went back to them, the ones were it takes half a year to walk to.
Unfortunately my last savegame dates 5 months prior to that event. I didnt notice what happend right away because I was busy in Africa, then when I looked why Japan had not annexed I saw that China was resurected lol. I searched the log for an event but couldnt find one, very strange.
I am sorry that I cannot give a more accurate description.
Yes, the armor thing isn't working if you chose not to attack czechoslavakia after the sudetenland crisis. I certainly didn't despite going to war with the danzig event.
Thinking about the bomb attempt to kill hitler in 1940. Could we consider an ahistorical story where after that point there is a negotiated peace? Otherwise killing off Hitler changes nothing, and even all of the later events mention him.
And why does SU have a mix of '36 and '39 infantry at the start of the campaign, when they have only researched up to '36 (despite having '39 mot inf. researched btw).
It's November 1939 and I have completed the invasion of Poland.
However I have had a theoretical breakthrough for Turbo Cag's (1945), I have both the Totenkopf and Das Reich SS Armoured Divisions and Hitler has just narrowly avoided assasination ('44 event).
It seems my game thinks its 1944 when it should be 1939.
I'm not sure how this has happened. The only thing that may have caused this is during the declarations of war. The UK had guaranteed Polish independence and Poland had accepted, but I noticed by Sep 4th the Allies had not declared war so in the spirit of realism I declared war on them instead. (Not very real, but I wanted them in the war). However the Theoretical breakthrough happened a while ago.

Well, my Barbarossa took about ten months. A great experience in my opinion, the new events really liven it up. The Soviets defeated Finland quite quickly in my game too, it only took about five weeks. However, since AI files haven't yet been changed that much, the new People's Army of the Finnish People's Republic adopted an effective form of passive resistance:
I actually think some new events for Finland might be in order. At the very least it's quite unlikely that the Soviets would've allowed the Finnish Army to remain mobilized, even led by Mannerheim and the other high-ranking Finnish officers. Also, if Finland first became a Soviet puppet and then, only a few months after that, USSR lost a major war against Germany, I think the Finns would at least rebel against Soviet rule. The Germans could probably choose to either not get involved in that struggle, offer limited resistance to the Finns or even propose an alliance / make Finland a German puppet.
EDIT: the picture above also highlights my biggest problem during Operation Barbarossa: a severe lack of reinforcements. This is probably due to the fact that I simply built too many divisions. The 1 000 000 men that Rosenberg's plan gave me in early 1942 really came in handy.
