I (JAP) had a coup putting Wilhelm II back in power in Germany. Is there any way to put Hitler back in and set the game back on it's historic course? I saw this way too late, so there is no savegame from before. There are no words how much I hate Coups.

Maybe you could at least somewhat correct it by selecting a fascist or NS country like Italy and staging a coup on GER while using the "acceptall" cheat. (Remember to disable it again afterwards.)
You could also have a look at your savegame folder. Maybe autosave.eug or oldautosave.eug are still somewhat usable.

Dev diary!!! XD

*g* Trust me...you don't want to read this. There are still some parts of the project that are somewhat improvised. Sometimes it takes us days or even weeks to realize that there's a wrong assumption or an error in logic in our past work and we have to revisit it. Not quite a streamlined and easy to read essay.

Not at all... We just want to know the ideas you want to implementand the current state. Maybe the community can help/improve you. Even the smallest help can make difference or maybe you can find someone who is willing to make that for you. Gathering info/suggests, explaining us what is the current state, what you want to do next, some PR thingy, etc.

We are aware that your team is small and doing this as a hobby and very busy in irl. Maybe the load on your shoulders decreases. Who knows!

Well. There are a lot of problems. I was ill for over a week now. I think no work was done because we were all busy.
The time to gather information or suggestions is far over. We have filled pages in google doc and other programs with data, information and other stuff we would need. At the moment we have to build all the decisions for all our "special nations" to get the first running alpha. I'm afraid that the codes are very complicated. I'm already overextended by the complicity of the trigger heads - or the be honest i would make way more logical errors compared to Studti.
All in all i cant see any way how it could decrease the amount of work when we will put even more time in side stuff like "writing a very long dev diary post with any visual stuff" (e.g. i would need way to much time to polish my english for such a complicated dev diary xD). To be honest i think only 10% would read it and less % would add helpful content. Dont misunderstand me here but Studi and I, we are talking very close with each other so that there is stuff we havent written down or analysed in details because we had no reason to do so. So when u are not inside those dynamic construction progress it will be hard to help us in any ways :-/
At the end when everything is running we will still need a lot of help to balance and fix the system. So there will be still a lot of stuff that can be done by community members but for the moment i cant see any chances.

I think I may have a bug. I'm invading Italy with the US. They changed governments but the new socialist government is now supposedly at war with me, yet their troop are now everywhere including behind my lines and even in the same province with no battle. Let me just give you the save.

My supposed 'bug' may not have been. Though I think the flags may be reversed, what happened in my game is that an Italian government was formed as a US puppet controlling the occupied part of Italy. The fascists are in Rome and points south. Though they look identical to Mussolini's units, they are fighting on my side now(I swear I saw this in a movie somewhere). All is well now. Thanks.

savedebug always tolds me, that the country.csv is wrong -CTD. Looks like this:
ERROR : Invalid country TAG (UA1) in db\country.csv
Sounds like you're using DH 1.04, which doesn't recognizes the new TAGs (like UA1) introduced by DH 1.05/1.05.1.
If I'm not wrong this version of TRP requires DH 1.05/1.05.1.

@^_AC_^ Correct ;) We wont support any old version of DH. We are trying to bring new adjusted TRP versions for any DH update. You will always need the last version of DH for TRP.

By the way: Thx for your post. Havent thought about a version error here.

Hey! I've been playing DH on and off for a few years, finally picked it up again the other week and started playing your mod. I like it! I really appreciate the tech tree changes in particular, but ive been having this consistent problem with my JAP game. Ive been completely dominating the war in the pacific since pearl harbor, but not because ive got a real qualitative advantage or anything, but just because ive been completely uncontested at sea. I won the war in China in 1941 and in 42 I fired off the Pearl Harbor decision. Since then, ive sunk maybe 15 ships combined from the allies. They just refuse to engage me! When I first trapped them, I had 82 USA ships blockaded in the Solomon sea, and I've pretty much analyzed what happens when they engage me now. First off, they seem to only attack my blockading fleet, which is 2 CV, 4 BB, 8 CL, and 4 DD, at night in the rain. Then, my Cags and theirs will engage, and after about 4 or 5, 8 hours max, they disengage and run back to port. All said, I'll end up usually killing 3-4 hundred personnel, a few planes, and if I'm super lucky i'll take out a CL or a TP. I don't know what I did to freak out the USA so bad, but it's really frustrating to be unable to properly engage them!

Unfortunately the naval ai is hardcoded. They wont send more than 2 combat fleets into battle at all. So there is just a small chance to find those combat fleets on sea. The rest are small subhunter fleets with wired fleet ratio and transport fleets. It is frustrating but we cant change those issues :(

This may sound pathetic but I can't manage to beat France. I usually build IC until the Anschluss, after that I begin building tons of infantry (150 IC worth of infantry), and when they finish building I start with 12 armoured divisions, and even with that I only have 80+ divisions ready for the invasion of France by May 1940 while France has 100+ divisions. I know i'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what it is. Is there another strategy or am I just really bad at the game?

I did manage a succesfull playthrough some time ago.The main problem with building an army in TRP as germany is manpower not IC or time .Can't say I agree with that decision ,germany certainly didn't have population shortages at that time but.....let's ignore that.

I would make Hitler Chief of Staff right at the start of the game since he gives a bonus to manpower growth and cheaper and shorter infantry build time.I build nothing but IC until mid 1938 and only then started to build my army.

By September 1 1939 I had :

504/347 IC , 117 Infantery Divisions, 3 Mot divisions, 1 cav, 4 mech, 5 arm and 1 HQ

.I didn't actually build more troops ,only 6 more motorized divions, until I invaded France in late 1939(without the offensive chit) and mainly focused on the airforce. The french surrendered November 25.

The trick to beat the french is to have them move troops into Belgium and the Netherlands.Historically they did this before the invasion started but ingame you have to wait a bit. Then you can cut off a large chunk of their army and can invade france without having to fight the entire french army.Otherwise you will get 40 divisons in Sedan which is not very fun.

Edit: Oh and put your armored and mech divs under the command of your major generals so that you get the bonus from their skill and mabye give them some exp .But make sure to have them attack under a sufficiently high ranking general to not get the command limit penality. And alyways have auto promote leader active it means that many of thegerman low ranking leaders will be promoted to Field Marshal or general while not losing any ranks.

I played a few campaigns with different countries and in each and every one Germany does not declare war on USSR, in fact is the other way around, the soviets declare war on Germany, usualy in may 1942 and then Spain immediately joins the Axis.
