Croatia and Montenegro both were puppet regimes during WW2:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independent_State_of_Croatia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Montenegro_(1941–44)

702px-Axis_occupation_of_Yugoslavia_1941-43.png

Serbia, however, remained under german control

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbia_under_German_occupation

and is just being created in TRP in order to prevent the AI from garrisoning dozens of divisions there instead of sending them into Russia. It's a territory separated from the Reich, which makes it kind of a 'garrison trap' for the AI.

I'm currently working on some tweaks to simulate the yugoslav resistance a little better.

Always fine to learn new things! Never read that Montenegro became a puppet of Italy.

It seems there are some serious flaws in this game. I have listed what I found after playing an awesome number of hours as respectively Italy and Romania:

First; The AI seems never to be out of supply while the human forces does. See German units moving when surrounded. Se also the second attachment (unnumbered) showing Russian forces in Odessa out of supply that is impossible to beat. They have been surrounded for more than 6 month but fight just as well as units in supply.

Second: The AI destroy infrastructure and dies in the attempt: The attachment 3 it shows Russian units committing suicide just to ruin Romanian factories in Constantza. Stupid and very far from any realism.

If I have misunderstood something I am all yours.

All the best

1) Those encircled units in Russia indeed are out of supply...but they won't stop moving unless they're out of organization. Motorized units without fuel will move at 50% of their normal speed.
2) Odessa is being supplied by convoys.
3) These soviet units simply try to conquer territory. There's no such command that could tell the AI to maraud behind enemy lines. Besides, they're still supplied by convoys.

Feb 1943: After 3 big encirclements in which i destroyed more then 100 sovjet divisions i still getting pushed back and painfull i hold the front against the soviet hordes.

March 43: Finland jioned the sovjets and to my suprise Turkey joined the allies i had good relations with Turkey (80+), this is a very painfull development.

My question is it normal that Turkey joined the allies ?

Just looking back at my Italy campaign the "out of supply" symbol turned up at units in Trieste even if the convoy is running and there is a harbor there. Is it because I am out of oil? Se the two attachments:

Overstackin without penalty?

Sometimes one get a message about overstacking penalty. Sometimes not it seems. Am I missing out something here? My Field Marshall can command 24 divs if it is a HQ nearby, which it is, but it seems there is no penalty here even if it is 69 divs under his command?

Seems to me that your out of supplies and oil. Both resources are low (or empty) so u cant supply your troops with this resources in africa.
Do u produce enough supplies? Do u have enough convoys because 11 ships are quiet low.

Can u show a full pic?
You are germany? U attacked russia where? Different attacking provinces? Big screen of the hole battle situation would be nice ^^

Thanks. About the first issue. Trieste is in Europe, not in Africa:). And as the picture shows, I am out of oil but not supply. 150 left and the designated convoy is running.

The second issue. I play as Romania. When I attacked SU(Odessa) dozens of other Axis divs joined in. But as you can see, my Romanian Field Marshall is in charge getying no penalty for overstacking.

Please look carefully at the pictures, they are ment to show things better.

Hm. Think the 150 supplies are the problem. They will be depleted by your troops in seconds so in fact your army is out of supplies.
Think with a bigger reserve the "out of supply problem" will disappear.

About Odessa;
Well. When u attackfrom three different provinces and with a field Marshall in each province it would be fine. You can command 24 division in a province with a field marshall, right? (where is Studi when u need him ^^)

Your units in Trieste are out of supply because the local supply depot is empty. Convoys take and deliver goods over midnight and they've got to last for the whole day. If there are not enough supplies left at 23 hours inside the national depot, they can't be shipped to their destination and supplies overseas won't last for the whole day to come. You should allocate more IC to supply production: 160 units won't last even until noon and your whole army will be out of supply until midnight.

Concerning the command limit at Odessa, you may very well attack with a maximum number of 24 units per surrounding province. You just have to be in range of a HQ doubling your command limit, using a field marshal in each province.

But beware of an old display bug: Let's say you're attacking from 3 different provinces at the same time, using HQs and field marshals and a 24-24-24 unit distribution. You won't get an over-command-penalty for this attack. But if you decide to switch to some 3-3-66 distribution while still attacking with hq + field marshals out of 3 different provinces, there will be no warning symbol for exceeding the command limit! You will get the penalty, though.

Superb! Guess my allies are fielding Field Marshalls using my HQ.I have just not noticed.

Was Turkey attacked?
When yes; Who attacked Turkey?
Because when Axis attack Turkey they join Alliies.

No England cooped the government and instantly puppet Turkey.
Found that some what strange but acctually it was a good event to happen, it seems Turkey wasn't prepared for war at all,
with a small force and in a record time Turkey was conquered and puppet again. By germany this time.

On the eastfront i made 3 big encirlements (about 250 div total) and that was the good news from the front.
Still the Russian hordes are unstoppable, pushed me back from almost Moscow to Koningsburg - Warschau - Odessa (nov 43) (nice work!)
In full retreat in north Africa we gave it up because of the troops needed on the east front.

No more kriegsmarine and Italian navy, completly wipped out by 3 us. carriers in a 9 stack !
i find those us.carriers indestructible and did not knew of these superpowers,
a stack of 2x4 italian mabo3 with 3x4 fighters attacked the carrier stack and were turned to shred in a few seconds
no bombers at all survived the fight i find no way to attack these us.carriers even if they are surrounded
bye 3 big Italiaan navy stacks no ship can fire at those carries,,,but the carrier stack turned all 3 Italian stacks to shred,
i have no chioce left i have to nuke them in the future ; )

My airforce is still very strong 30 of the newest Bombers and plenty of fighters
now comes my pain !!! and you said it yourselfs the bombers are to weak!
they are almost useless especially against big sovjet stacks.

Is there anyway to modify this myself to make bombing attacks more realistic, you know what happened with the Lehr Division
know it will be set in the next update, but we the german people can not wait the fate of the Fatherland depends on it :- )
must i look in settings.cfg ? pls give me a good hint to were to look rest i will find out (with notepad+)

Having a hellish freaking Gooooood time with this mod

'another very good reason to play this mod it has NO CTD's'

almostnon:)

Great story panzerslet!

A couple of questions:
  1. Will changing the scenario end date during a 1945 scnario harm the ongoing scenario in any way?
  2. I have landed on blocking all units from upgrade and then open up for certain units. This is because I don't know what happens with upgrade IC when I suddenly block for uprade like I did before. What does actally happen and what is the recomended way to handle upgrades?

Fantastic game btw.

No more kriegsmarine and Italian navy, completly wipped out by 3 us. carriers in a 9 stack !
i find those us.carriers indestructible and did not knew of these superpowers,
a stack of 2x4 italian mabo3 with 3x4 fighters attacked the carrier stack and were turned to shred in a few seconds
no bombers at all survived the fight i find no way to attack these us.carriers even if they are surrounded
bye 3 big Italiaan navy stacks no ship can fire at those carries,,,but the carrier stack turned all 3 Italian stacks to shred,
i have no chioce left i have to nuke them in the future:)

About this. I play Italy and have sunk a great deal of the British navy in the Med. This was mostly before I was aware of all the improvements possible for navall units in the "Naval doctrine" section. This combined with all the important naval brigades, really make way at sea! If you where not already aware:)
NB! Not encountered large carrier fleets yet this time around so the final result for my crack 1918 battleships is still open:mellow:.

Do you encountered us.carriers ? before the U.S was involved in the war it all went well for the Italian navy and they kept the British fleet out of the mediterranean but after U.S entered the war it was an other story the Italian navy stood no change

(i have no control what Italie upgrade or build i can only control their Army/Navy)
