I hope this is an ok area to post this in, but I have always had trouble with multiplayer. Usually whenever I join a game, it'll eventually crash for me as I lag behind. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd appreciate possible feedback on how to fix this since I am interested in playing multiplayer with others.

Try verifying game data on steam. Right click on game, properties, data (or local), and verify
Could be a slow PC meaning you can't keep up, but if you run fine in SP it shouldn't be the issue.
A slow/unstable internet connection could be the other. Or distance from the host- meaning high ping and you'll just disconnect.

Well I have no issues in SP, but sometimes very late into a game it may crash.
I don't believe my ping is horrible but it could I am not sure.
I am unsure what you mean by where I am based, if you mean country, then USA, and if by state in there then Arizona
When confronted with lag in either a singleplayer game or multiplayer game, one of the first things to do is for a player to decrease their video settings.
Even consider turning off the 3D action figures and trying icons instead.
