Trouble with Air Wings

I apologize if this questions seems stupid, or if it's been asked 1001 times before. I'm trying to learn this game and I'm pretty lost and confused. To say I'm a noob would be an understatement. The first question I have is about how I manage my air wings. I'm trying to follow Praetorian Hijinks's Beginner Tutorial from June 2016, but in my game I don't have the same kind of organization screen for air divisions. When I select an air wing all I get is a very simplified screen with no obvious way to easily assign a specific region. It doesn't look anything like the screen from his tutorial.

Has it changed to a more simplified version since last year? Am I doing something wrong?

@jasonbarron the game has been updated since June 2016 so that tutorial won't help with your understanding of air wings. In Air Mapmode you are assigning air units to a region within their range, and you just need to choose which type of mission you wish them to perform.

No problem with questions, you're welcome. Here you can't do lot of things better though, as it's the game itself that's poor. Will be improved with next patch about strategic warfare, as we can (at last !) chose what kind of strategic goal we want to focus on. But air regions still are a big pain, and lead to plenty of very stupid situations. Like you want to get an air support for your land offensive, air base (or bases constellation) is very near your breakthrough point but planes won't help the boys because the incrimined air region is ridiculously big (like Texas for exemple) and all calculations are air regions centered, so that your planes won't be able to reach the offensive point (say 200km) because of their limited range (say 1000km)......
