Trouble Uploading Files to Imperator: Rome Forum

Hello,

I was trying to respond to the following thread in the IR: Rome forums, but found myself unable to upload any attachments/files (uploaded below, didn't have an issue with this section of the forum):

The image which I was trying to upload is attached below. Any help that I could get with this would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: To clarify, the "upload attachment" button was not visible, and clicking and dragging did not work either, giving me the message that attachments were not allowed

While I am no expert on flag design nor Jewish iconography I had an idea for a potential flag. Why not incorporate the major elements that have been stated in this thread? Blue for the biblical connections, the lion and colour red for the tribe of Judah, and, for a more uniquely Jewish symbol which doesn't come with the potential anachronism of the menorah, why not keep the Star of David?
For some reason I made a rough mock-up flag using the current Judea flag and the current coat of arms of Jerusalem that the host posted, but I am having trouble uploading pictures to this part of the forum , so if it doesn't display properly, my idea was roughly the top third blue, with the Star of David center, with the bottom two thirds red, with two lions facing each other.

Edit: Tried uploading it in another section of the forum and copying it over, and while it did display in the post creator, it doesn't seem to have worked, sorry

I am reviving this thread because this problem still isn´t solved. I have only heared about the "Upload a File" button missing if you had no games registered like here:

Maybe @TinyWiking or @AndrewT could help you with this problem?

Thanks for reviving the thread. To be clear, the "Upload a file" button which is normally at the bottom right of where you write a post appears for me in all of the Paradox Forums (that I use), besides Imperator Rome. I have no issues uploading files to other parts of the Paradox Forums (see the two AAR's in my signature for confirmation). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well i don't have that button there, just like Eric The Red 33 and i'm not aware of any permission revocations/limitations on my account.

Interesting... maybe it has something to do with the fact that both your accounts are so old? The only difference I could find between you two and people that have the "Upload" button is that your accounts are much older. Maybe it is some sort of bug with older accounts? I don't know. I'm just guessing.

I can confirm : i can't see the "Upload of File" button in any of the three Upcoming Games forums (including in hte I:R Meme thread).

Thanks for all the sleuthing guys. Can confirm I also can't upload files to the other Upcoming Games Forums.

I do wonder if the point about the common thread between those of us being the age of our accounts. Perhaps different permissions were or are given to new sign-ups while the same permissions weren't added to old accounts when the new game forums were created.

edit: i want to add that i'm using Firefox 66.0 on Ubuntu, maybe it's s browser related problem?

Good Idea, although I don't think that browser is the issue. I have tried with Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, all to no avail.

Still no luck getting the upload a file button on the Imperator Forum. So I will pull the trick that I did with the first post and create a link to this post, which will have the image. Hopefully this won't violate any forum rules.

It did not, it was a case of the forums not carrying the permissions from the "Upcoming games" forum over correctly !
