Does CK III have automatic transport ships on troops when you put them over water?

Since there is no naval combat (as far as I remember), copying this feature from HOI4 (or total war) might not be a bad idea.

Naval transportation have not really been talked about but it have been mentioned it may be similar to CK1 in which you have to pay a certain amount of Money for naval transportation rather than having ships like in CK2.

Haha, so, I remember when I first started CK2, when I was playing the tutorial, the thing that made me think, "man, this game is hard to learn" was the boats. Not marriages, or war, or councils or making claims or crusades or any of that stuff. No, it was boats. In the tutorial, when you have to move some troops to the canary islands, for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to load my troops on the damn boats. I think of that every time the topic of naval stuff comes up in CK2 or 3.

Be careful about that since last time I heard any talk about the naval system it was not exactly clear if it would work as in CK1 or not on launch.

Naval combat will not be in the launch version:

Naval Combat, yay or nay?
  • There will be no Naval Combat at Launch, however we aren't closed to that specific feature in a far future

This screenshot of a holding don't mention ships:
index.php
And neither do this screenshot of army overview:

Which tends to confirm it is closer to CK1 system where navies weren't levies ;) .

The Boat part of the Tutorial was one of the more purely frustrating things in the entire Tutorial. Especially when there was a bug that prevented you from completing that part of the Tutorial.

Even years later, it's my least favorite part of the Game...
