So, i've been playing this game for almost 220 h, and had alot of fun playing it. I have ruled the seas, dominated the battlefield and doing the dance with the enemy army. that's when it hit me. When you are moving your troops to another province it always says " they will arrive the X of X" Which I think is a bit unrealistic.

Now hear me out, back in the day it most have been extremly hard to guess on what day you will arrive at your destination. (correct me if im wrong) So what if they will change it so it will be more like " your army will arrive between X and X of December" Wont that make the game a bit more realistc and a bit more intense. Then it might be like " will my troops arrive in time" and get the extra tension. What do you guys think?

PI is actually moving in the exact opposite direction, trying to make things as deterministic and clear as possible. Just look at how they changed missionaries and diplomacy. It does make it less realistic unfortunatly, which I do agree us important, but it is an understandble choice.

Well I feel that dealing with uncertainty is a very important part of leading a nation and that luck should be important. However the general opinion and PI seem to disagree with me and I can play a more deterministic game just fine.

I know that but in every aspect the game is moving to more and more determinism. Some features have not been touched that is true but seeing as how PI has stated that it is their goal to make things more deterministic anything based on probability being added seems highly unlikely.

The point is: Either it would be completely random, which I really don't want more of in EU IV right now, or there would've to be extensive mechanics to make it actively manageable which would require a lot of work I'd rather see done in different areas of the game.
