Does anyone else think troops regenerate too slowly? I have training grounds in all my provinces but it can take upto 10 years to get a full army.

Or are there any other ways to increase the regenration time that im missing?

Thanks

That is one of the things i don't like on CK. You can be swimming in gold but you can't raise armies and have to wait forever. Also when your stewart dies your manpower drops and then has to rise again... What's up with that?

If you're swimming in gold, hire mercenaries :)

As to the original question, I don't think it's too slow. If the prime of a province is wiped out on the battlefield it should take some years to grow new recruits...

Yeah that's what I think is stupid.

It's not like the people die instantly when the income drops. I mean they could starve slowly, but not dissappear overnight.

Yeah, it would be nice if we got a small grace period to replace the steward before the rating dropped.

Not only that; it's also a bit silly to have the capital moving according to income. In one MP game the Kingdom of Denmark's capital was constantly switching between Skåne and Själland. (This is mostly a cosmetic issue though as opposed to manpower, although it does have an effect on research).

You do. Until the end of the month.

That is not actually all that helpful. If the death of a steward occurs near the end of the month the player is essentially screwed for no good reason - especially if playing on a fast setting.

Only in multiplayer. In SP, you can make almost all the death events pause, and then you don't resume the game until you have replaced them when an officer dies. The only exception is when they die in childbirth which catches me out from time to time because the message doesn't include the office.
