trivia game - Stellaris gets next patch exactly on *date*?

Hi Everyone,

with Stellaris official version 2.2.3 being around since December 21st 2018 (when it was released into the beta branch 1st) we have not seen a larger patch, important hotfix or bugfixes to the game for quite a while now. In addition, the devs have remained more or less silent for weeks, probably working hard to improve on things. Even if we were looking elsewhere (twitter, twitch mostly) we remained with announcements about console versions or videos about the dev clash.

That said, i would want to know how eager or confident you are / the playerbase is, when Stellaris will receive its next patch. In form of a trivia, let me know what your guess is and we will see who nails it. No, you cant win anything here, just honor being up for grabs To give it a start: I predict the next patch being released on

We got a patch update 2 weeks and 1 day ago. We got a dev diary just under 2 weeks ago. You're mixing and matching beta and live releases to make it sound worse than it is. Not helpful.

This Friday or next i'm guessing. Probably next considering there has been no communication from Paradox in the last little while.

Its a shame too because I like this game and it has been broken for months.

An agile software development team would typically have multiple releases a day, but with a team of ~10 or so members that's not a realistic routine and we're talking about game development here, not your typical enterprise/business apps. Perhaps one beta release a week could be feasable, releasing to live biweekly or monthly.

Unfortunately that is not how things are. With whatever the dev team has been tasked with, we trust they are working to their best of the ability and we remain ever hopeful that we will get a new set of patches this week (tomorrow 7th).

My guess is March 21st. That should be enough time to fix the lag (and sectors, and fleet upgrade times and everything else that was horribly broken in 2.2), .Maybe the real reason we haven't heard from PDX is because the Dev team has already moved on to bigger and better things?

Soon, hopefully. I just hope they'll actually fix everything for once BEFORE releasing the next DLC and having another bunch of broken stuff to fix, and letting it pile up to the ceiling.

Don't think so. It is broken after every dlc and most stable just before next one. Just like every other paradox grand strategy...

I dont think it is devs fault, but rather management and budget planning (longer testing period). Also beta branch before dlc with free features wouldn't hurt to iron out bugs before proper release - just an idea...
