So, basically a simple question, but still one that I think may cause some discussions (hence why I'm not posting it in the questions and answers thread): Is Trickster a good trait to have, or not? What exactly does Experimentality do?
Experimentality means there is a chance that your character will overperform or underperform relatively to another commander with similar leading skills. I don't remember the behind the scenes, if it's tweak to tactics or say a damage modifier.
I always favor other traits, I'm not sure when I would want a trickster, I consider that a negative trait. Better be safe than sorry.
I would say it is a bad trait for specialized armies, but a good one for levies, random and ai allies attaching to your armies. But only because it enables certain tactics, clever ambush and the tibetean mountain ambush. But i would almost always prefer another trait unless that trait would have no effect, like heavy infantry leader with light infantry and ligth cavalry army
my favorite combat traits seem to be way of dragon and holy warrior.
