Tributary Mechanic Bug?

I make Bohemia tributary and take two provinces from the peace deal. I don't get the provinces and for some reason Bohemia is dragged into my war vs. Mamluks:

Same thing here, I make Brandenburg tributary and take a province from Austria. Brandenburg becomes my tributary but I don't get the province:

I have done the same (tributary + land) to other tags without problems. Don't remember if their capitals were all in Europe. Does this have to do with capital location or the fact Bohemia/BB are in the HRE?

This is definitely odd.

Try a non-elector HRE nation to see if that changes anything. If it still happens then I will assume it's the HRE causing some issues. For no logical reason.

The reason this happens is because their land is worth over 100 ws, and with tributary being 80, in theory you can but the game recalculates afterwards.

I tried somethibg similar with the console: if you send a peace deal, then tagswitch and develop the victim by 20 with the offer being sent, the provinces ceded will be less. Also the same reason the game does weird stuff when warscore cost for vassal is less than provinces (subjugation/excommunicate cb)


In a nutshell: province WS is recalculated several times, and the order in which you click on things seems to matter. Bottom line: backup the save before peace deals.

same happened to me except im the one lost the war. I surrendered to be tributary and gives a province but at the end the province is still mine and i remain a vassal not a tributary. So basically all terms in the peace treaty became lies lol
