Transylvania -> CTD Save-File

I'm playing as Byzantium (BYZ), beta 7th-Feb-04, AGCEEP 1.21. After successfully waging war aganist Hungary (HUN), I ask for Transylvania (323) and no other provinces. They accept and everything is seemingly ok. I immediately save the game (and I have a savegame from immediately before, pause on the whole time). When I try to load that savegame, the game crashes to desktop about one-third of the way through loading the savefile.

What's going on? It took me a while to determine that it's Transylvania that's causing the problem. I tried looking to see if any events were being triggered by province 323, but it doesn't look like it. Is it the gold that the problem? Is it the beta version or AGCEEP? HELP!

Do you have access to another machine with EU2 on it, you can try to see if it happens there too? Otherwise post a link to the bad save file and we'll see if we can see what the problem in it is.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with gold.

I don't have access to another machine to try it on. But, I can temporarily keep a copy of the file here: AAA3.zip.

Just to be clear, the game doesn't crash while playing. It's only when loading the savefile that it crashes.

I think you're right about it not being the gold. I've since captured Armenia (472) which also has gold. It causes no problems.

Both BYZ and HUN have 323 listed in their list of owned cities. Edit the save file and delete this whole entry under the tag = HUN heading:

    city = { 
        name = "Kolozsvár" 
        population = 7499.733 
        location = 323 
        fortress = { level = 1.000 }

So why did the game create a corrupt savefile anyway? Is this a known bug?

More info: in my uncorrupted savefile under the HUN country file, there is this:

    city = { 
        name = "Kolozsvár" 
        population = 7816.148 
        location = 323 
        fortress = { level = 1.000 } 
        } 
    city = { 
        name = "Kolozsvár" 
        population = 7816.148 
        location = 323 
        bailiff = yes 
        fortress = { level = 1.000 } 
        }

The province is listed twice! So obviously when I took the province, it was only deleted once from HUN, and then the savefile fails to load when the province is cross-linked.

So maybe there are two problems here:
1. EU2 should fail to load a savefile that has a double-listed province (as it now fails to load cross-listed provinces).
2. AGCEEP probably has an error in its setup.
