After much pondering, the head of the state decides to give the socialist a hand, persuaded that they'll bring more prosperity to the country. And he isn't wrong, socialists have the political know-how to bring in more oppressed masses, and their economic policies would help in industrializing our newly acquired lands.
So, universal suffrage is granted, and a general strike organized throughout Transvaal. Every single RGO and factory is shutdown. Socialist support jumps from 5% to 37%, while the liberals retain 38% of voting intentions.

-25 October 1870 : After suffering From months of negative income and starving pops, The socialists are elected!!

-15 November : Busy days with factories opening up everywhere and demagogues roaming the country.

I see you're getting a grip on the coastlines to keep the Europeans out.
Biggest threat is France I guess, you'll probably get the most southern Algerian provinces first though, but perhaps we'll eventually see a war against a european power?

You're a little bit too late, I lost the save.

But I may very well decide to restart it some day.

Couldn't you just use autosave or an earler save ?
