Transport question!

I'm trying to set up a scenario and I am wondering something; is the monorail considered train or metro? Also, are blimps counted as planes? It's not very clear...

When you create a scenario one possible trigger is to have X number of passengers on rail, metro, airplanes, boats...so I am trying to figure out if monorail is the same as railroad and if blimps count as planes. I am assuming monorail is railroad, but I want to know for sure.

I'm pretty sure blimps count as planes as they're under that tab. Monorail has its own tab so it might even be an oversight by CO.

Thank-you, I was thinking that too about the blimps...I'm just going to test out the theory by setting rail guidelines and then only setting monorail to see if the numbers go up. I will update this post when I find out...

Update! It appears that monorail will count as trains in scenarios. I have a city with only monorail and the count shot up...so even though it's listed under it's own tab it is considered train.

DeadlyUK, I'm sorry...
I was incorrect and the numbers shot up because I had a lone train station with an intercity connection...I tried the train scenario that came with this DLC and began with monorail and got nothing. Not sure what it's considered, but if it is it's own thing then it should have listing of it's own under scenario creator...which it does not. Sorry for the mis-information! Wish the Dev's would chime in here...

I assumed it would be under metro. Did you try a metro scenario. But it is its own tab.

I tried each of the options scenarios give us. ie: transport by: train, tram, metro, bus, plane and boat. The monorail counts as nothing...except maybe just, "pubic transportation", I did not try that by itself yet, but I would assume it counts since it is at least public transport. I think they need to include it in either trains or metro or give it it's own thing...it's a favorite of many but isn't included in scenario options?? Seems odd to me.
