transport planes

As germany in 1936 you start out with two transport planes.

What are those good for ?

I can't seem to load troops on to them and apparently I can't use them for resource transport either

Try Paratroopers.

I read somewhere that they were good for transporting supplies to one's armys, but i don't know if it is true?
