Geez... how about some positive traits... I see a lot of "how can we complicate this character's life" suggestions.
Buggery would be a better term, the French would use say "bougre" for someone who had male inclinations.

Well, in that spirit:
1. Benefactor: (maybe subsumed into generous) the character uses his wealth to benefit others with whom he or she comes in contact. He keeps coins in his pocket to give to beggars, grants poor young women dowries, and supports orphanages.
2. Valiant: the character exhibits all the ideals of knighthood in his or her daily life. He protects travelers from bandits, participates enthusiastically in tournaments, and follows his own code of honor.
3. Just: the character upholds justice as the main province of a monarch. He gives everyone in his domain a fair hearing, from slave to bishop, and promotes the rule of law. His focus on justice may irk the powerful, but they will not publicly decry his faith in orderliness and justice.
4. Lawgiver: (offshoot of just perhaps) The character has gained a reputation for establishing written procedures for dealing with a variety of human problems. His actions have promoted commerce and the peaceful resolutions of disputes, but some of his peers and vassals may look at him skeptically for putting their old customs into ink and paper.
However traits are handled and whichever ones are there, I want them to be more useful, beyond + and - to attributes and piety or prestige. King has already stated that they will limit or enable certain event choices. How else do you guys think that traits should affect gameplay?
Good point - in fact events and possible choices for certain problems should be probably more decisive and can be used to balance out the positive or negative effects of a trait. For example, a just character can't do anything against someone who is probably plotting against him without any certain proofs. A bloodthirsty character could just solve this very undiplomatically by simply killing the suspected plotter, and a scheming character could arrange an "accident".
For some problems you need an evil bastard.![]()

i was thinking that if you father/grandfather/greatgrandfather had the trait then youd be at the mercy of a random event threatening a prestige loss, having your relationships hurt alittle or gaining a negative trait [from the effects of bullying]
like cannonised, only bad
Cuckold: This character's is widely believed to have horns put on his head by his wife's and her scandalous behavior behind closed doors, whether true or false. - Prestige, - Loyalty of vassals, + Fertility of wife, + Frequency of having bastard children.
This should be in somehow. In CK1 there was the event telling you that your spymaster is sure that the child could not be yours. Having something like this really get out should be disastrous because it would put the whole succession into disarray.
