Hello! A friend of mine showed me crusader kings 2 and when I saw the character mechanics I immediately spotted a flaw. Instead of traits ,which depict extreme values, why not some sort of trait scale from 1 to 10? Like patience scale with 1 being very reckless and 10 being very patient. I hope it helps you to make a great game into a even more brilliant one!

I too wanted some more gradual system. It seemed odd to me that a humble man could turn proud in one random event (or vice versa).

There is a kind of gradual system with Education, Genius > Quick > none > Slow > Imbecile, Raider < Viking < Sea King/Queen, etc. Maybe there could be a few more traits like this (where there are up to four traits, 2 positive and 2 negative).

That being said, I don't think a ten point system is a good solution, the the diffrencens in ranks would be too small, and it would possebly take too long if you wanted to go from 5 wroth to patient. in verst case senario you would need 20 events to get from one end of the scale to the other.

The alternative would be to revamp the entire system (no longer using traits as they are now), but it is a bit late in the game's life cycle to do so now.
