Traits that I think would benefit the game as it stands now. Most of these could be postive and negative depending on which way you swing it.

Adept at Defense/Inept at Defense: basically a flat% in land defenses.

Defense Focus / Ignorant Defense: Postive or negative to ship defense %

(Same 4 above except for attacking)

Distant Cousins: Amoeba's are not hostile.

Naturally Inclined: Bonus to teraforming

Naturally Inept: Negative to teraforming

Perceptive / Unperceptive: bonus or negative to all ships avoidance.

Shield Focus: Bonus to shields, but slight negative to armor

Armor Focus: Bonus to Armor, but slight negative to shields

Hull Focus: Slight boost to ship HP

Jack of all trades: Science and Constructor ships are combined into 1 special ship type, but is slightly slower at scanning and constructing, but is able to also defend itself.

Ship Focus: (A ship focus for each class of ship, basically just slightly boosts all parameters for that specific ship type slightly)

Big Brother: interactions with races or species not yet enlightened is boosted.

Strong Scanning / Weak Scanners: Scanning planets may result in extra resources (very small chance when a resource on a planet is found for mining an additional 1 resource will be added, opposite for Weak Scanners)

Nomadic Relations: Nomadic fleet will spawn at your home planet at start, and travel around focusing on returning to you and trading the information of other factions.

Adept Diplomacy / Inept Diplomacy: Small modifier towards how much you need to trade with other factions to allow the trade to pass.

Weapons Dealer: Special Planetary Edict which lets you turn 50% of the minerals made into credits instead.

Chosen World: Gives a bonus to all income, and boost to diplomacy and research, but cannot colonize other planets or take them in wars. Mid-Late game a special tech unlocks which allows you to build Rings around your world. (You essentially are playing the start of a Fallen Empire)

These are interesting, but not really biological traits
