On a semi-related note, I on multiple occasions have had my dams cut into the terrain creating a rather large and visible hole (and as a side effect, the road on the dam is unusable because roads cannot connect to it.
To the OP: is this only happening in certain situations (e.g. when you build tracks near the river) or does it just seem random?
