Upgraded to Industries, yay!

Built out my farm area, got the resources moving from crops to cows to baked goods, just fine. Had some excess that needed buyers, cargo train to the rescue!

That all worked fine.

Then I made a cargo station by my commercial area, connected to the farm area. It was with an inbound-only track. Once the cargo arrived there, it started sending out cargo planes instead of trucks.

Once I deactivated some recently-installed mods (my guess is the no seagull mod did this one), the cargo station spawned trucks. Nice.

But I still had a problem with mulitplatform train stations. Basically, they would be fine with intracity lines, but inter-city trains go right on through them. I built another, regular station, and it sends and receives intercity traffic just fine. These are vanilla stations and worked just fine prior to Industries.

I watch trains go right through the multiplatform station and on to the regular station. I've got plenty of tourist attractions around the multiplatform station, as well, so it's the one closest to all the cool stuff in my town.

I don't have any mods running that directly impact transit, trains, traffic, or anything like that. I've tried both the x-oriented and y-oriented multiplatform stations, neither get any attention from out-of-town traffic. It all goes to the single-track station.

Any suggestions?

More info... I tried some workshop stations I have (I only have single track ones) and they worked fine. I also observed that for all my single-track stations, once they're placed, they spawn trains after about a minute of my game time (small town on high speed). The multitrack stations are not spawning trains. So there's that.

Now to acquire some workshop multiplatform tracks and see if those work out OK...

LATER EDIT: The first workshop asset I tried, a 4-track station with no extra mods needed for it to work, worked just fine. Loads of trains going back and forth, to and fro. I tried adding another vanilla multiplatform in another spot, surrounded it with awesome tourist draws, nobody came. I'm thinking the vanilla MP stations are broken in Industries...

Vanilla multi-platform stations work according to special rules. Each of your outside track connections will choose one platform for the train to stop at. The game will choose this platform before it checks whether the platform is reachable by the train. Practically, this means you will have to make sure that each station track is reachable from all outside connections after you place the station. Then take note which track the intercity trains chose, and now you can remove any unused connections that you don't want to keep.

Another issue to avoid is touching the station or the roads at its edge with MoveIt!, which tends to break the interior pedestrian paths of the stations, which makes it impossible for your cims to reach the train from the road or vice versa.

Thanks for the discussion. Currently, I do not use MoveIt!, so that is not a variable to worry about here. :)

To your first point, I did have a setup on the vanilla MP station to where all three of my external links were able to pass through the top track. I watched as trains to and from all three external sources passed through that line on to other passenger stations. Then passengers that debarked at those stations would get on intracity rail and backhaul to the MP station.

So, to resolve, I need to set up to where all six slots are reachable from the outside and make note of which source uses which slot. Looks like I might have missed that in my other games where I used more than one line for external connections and had lots of crossover junctions to allow trains to switch paths easily.
