I noticed fairly weird thing in my Majapahit run. Not anything gamebreaking, but strange enough for me to ask a question.

I went plutocratic monarchy and started to create trade cities. I was suprised that they start at kingdom rank, but wiki says that's normal.

What's not normal is that they are actually monarchies.

They have this bizarre hybrid situation with monarchy goverment but tradng city 1st level reform. Which should be rebublic reform. All other reforms are monarchy, you get marriage them. etc.

Is this a specific thing for eastern plutocratic monarchy like, you getting trading city republic if you are merchant republic, but trading city monarchy if you are monarchy yourself?
