Am I the only one that is having issues with the Trade Routes moving every few months

I have my Homeworld than I have a Starbase 5 jumps out that is getting 12 trade and sending it back home, both are setup with a level 1 starbase with 1 gun battery and trade hub.

here is where the issue is, there is two 5 jump hyperlines that the starbase can pick to sent the stuff back to the homeworld, I put a Fleet of 4 corvettes to patrol the first route that I saw it picked, a year and half later pirates pop up, I checked the trade route and saw it moved, so I move the patrol to it, and again a year half later pirates pop up again, check trade route again and again it moved.

so now I have two fleets of 4 corvettes patrolling the routes....
