A few days ago i started playing Victoria 2 again and i have some question, does anybody know how trade fares between the members of the same sphere of influence? For example if England has in her sphere Belgium and Netherlands how does trade between Bel and NET fares? DO they give priority to each other as members of the same sphere or after England does her trade they don't care about sphere and go to the world market as all the other countries.

I've also found that being in a SOI can wreck your home economy and have lots of product sit on your factory shelves, unsold, even when the world wants it. Has anyone else encountered this?

Wouldn't that be reflected in a reduction in Demand?

...And it's certainly the case that I've broken out of a sphere, just to find my economy beginning to boom. I assume it's why you see the AI (especially the Netherlands) do it regularly.

From what i know if you have a country in your SOI you can buy a part of their resources from them even if they need them...so your economic boom might be from the resources that you are not selling to your master anymore...

Now here comes a crazy question: will be actually possible to mimic regional markets by making 8 new tiny countries giving them GP status with prestige and adding and removing the other countries from their SOI with events ?

members of the same SOI trade with each other before starting to trade on world market

How do you test it? I'm just Curious.

From what i know if you have a country in your SOI you can buy a part of their resources from them even if they need them

To add to this. A GP has access to 75% of production of a country (or 50% if the country is a SP) with priority as long as the country is in its SOI. If another GP has investment in the influenced country, this other GP will get a share of the rest 25% (or 50%) of production equal to:

Share = (Investment by this GP)/(Overall Foreign Investment by all GPs)

I downgrade France and Austria from GP and made Sweden and Denmark GP with prestige, modded the start of the game so that Austria and France were in Sweden SOI and deleted the possibility of artisans to make liquor so there was a huge demand in the world and no supply, gave France lvl 15 liquor distillery and 150k craftsmen in one region so they produced all their demand and some more and then observed with tag command that Austria bought the liquor
