I summarized the total number of trade nodes, number of provinces, base tax, and goods produced capable of going to each trade node. I sorted them by number of goods produced in each trade node + all nodes upstream from it. I took care in avoiding duplication.

GP Rank = Nodes ranked by #GP
#Base Tax = Sum of base tax in the node and all nodes upstream from it
#Provinces = Same as above, but for provinces.
#Nodes = Same as above, but for number of trade nodes.
#GP = Same as above, but for goods produced.

Just in case you ever wondered about the exact numbers. :)

Interesting note: The only non end-node not leading to the English Channel is Safi.

You, sir, are amazing.

Not surprised to see Venice that low. And that's not even accounting for the trade it can collect that's being drawn toward Central Europe. Sevilla is missing out on some good stuff in Europe, too.

I thought Bordeaux would edge out Lubeck on the merit of how rich Bordeaux itself is, but it's not surprising to see Lubeck that high. It's a wonderful node.

The English Channel being so high at the top reinforces how crazy rich England/Britain can become in 1.8 -- in all three of my games so far they've built crazy large merchant fleets to leverage all the trade they have access to.

Keep in mind that Venice is still super strong early. All these numbers only really show potential if all provinces in the world are colonized. It would explain why Venice is fairly low late game though. Take the numbers with a pinch of salt :D

Edit: The reason Lübeck edges out Bordeaux is because of all the Northeast European nodes only feeding to North Sea and not to Wien. Bordeaux only gains a little from the Mediterranean which Lübeck has no access to.

This is true.

You (and I don't mean "you" personally since you've done so much work already :p) could tally up the Trade Value of all the nodes in 1444 and again in 1820 (allowing ~1 year for goods price change events to fire).

I thought about doing it and have the calculations in a spreadsheet on hand, so it wouldn't be much trouble. The biggest problem, however, is factoring in the uncolonized provinces, as they are all unknown. You would end up with a different value every game.
