I play as Eire in the grand campaign. All of a sudden I have a trade level of 1, how is that possible? I didn't see any event that changed it.
That's where latin nations normally start. Or higher. There are just a few exotic and pagan nations, which start at trade 0. Even then, research to lvl1 is quite quick.Peps said:I play as Eire in the grand campaign. All of a sudden I have a trade level of 1, how is that possible? I didn't see any event that changed it.

Peps said:I just thought it was strange that I was making between 4-6 gold in my trade center then all of a sudden I'm just making 0.25 - 0.40. So it looks like my trade level was degraded or something else happened that make me earn much less in my trade center now, I just don't know what it could be.
Daniel A said:Perhaps some of your merchants was kicked out of a COT? Trade income is generated by merchants and multiplied with your trade efficiency which in part is made up out of your trade tech level.
By any chance, did you sign a few Trade Agreements ?Peps said:No, the same amount of merchants are making 0.25 - 0.35 instead oof 4-5 gold as they did from the start. Oh well, since this happened pretty early I might as well start all over again![]()

I'll repeat what I often did say - do not read the manual, unless you have a very, very good grasp of the game (at which point you can read it for laughs). It is outdated, it is inaccurate, it has large portions directly copied from EU1 manual, it has information that never was true. Reading the manual will only deeply confuse you.Peps said:Yes, I think I signed 5 or 6 trade agreements so not to compete with the other countries. I didn't know that affected my trade income in that CoT? Back to the manualo ....
And, in case it applies for you, translations to french were made by Poles (and translations to polish by Belgiansrobin74 said:I'll repeat what I often did say - do not read the manual, unless you have a very, very good grasp of the game (at which point you can read it for laughs). I was only joking about the horrible translations.Fodoron said:So it was first translated from swedish to polish by belgians and then from polish to french by poles?
My advice would be to stick with the current full patch (1.08), and wait for 1.09 before you upgrade again. The betas often end up testing out concepts thought up by the various players who interact here, some of which end up just being repealed in the next version of the beta.Peps said:Thanks for your help guys! I will read throgh that Guide, looks like something I could use. Btw, should I play with the 1.08 patch or the latest beta patch? I currently use the 1.08.
