Trade league members leaving randomly

Hi, i am playing as venice, and trying to create and maintain a large trade league. The problem is that trade league members leave the league randomly and for no reason. They did not get new provinces, they did not join another trade league, they did not get annexed, we have good relations (>50 at least), they were not forced to give trade power to another country, they did not become vassals. I just get a pop up saying that "they leave because they wanted". Why? It makes no sense. Does anybody has an explanation?

Trade Leagues are quiet broken and not as powerful as you might want them to be ;)

Members will leave if their reasons to join the league in the first place drop too low.
Which means that if you invite a rival of one of your members, that might be the tipping point for them to leave.

As well as the number of members in general. I assume you noticed the malus on inviting guys to your league depending on the actual size of it.
Which means that they "gain reasons to leave" the bigger the TL gets.
TBH, that's not in the Wiki and i have no source for the latter statement, it's mere an assumption i made through own experience.

And it makes sense for them imo because the Venice trade league is always in danger to be attacked by the Ottos. But I don't know if this is considered by the AI.

Thank you for the answers. Yes, i think the reason could be the size of the trade league. Maybe the player could get some kind of alarm, like the one you get when someone will break and alliance.
The ottos no longer exist XD, so i think is pretty safe to join venice trade league now. ;)
