Is adding AA guns to infantry in division design worth more, than just spamming fighters simply to get air superiority? Quite hard to figure out, when there's really no range shown on anything + having no idea of the power of grounded AA guns.

60 hours, 92 screenshots, quite a few games as practice & figuring the different countries out. Read guides & watch videos. Time for my real game now!

Thank you!! :)

I add AA to every Div except Paratroopers, because with Parras, if you've landed them you've already got air superiority. + I think if all your Divs have AA, the enemy should suffer more CAS/Tac downings from this, making it easier for you Fighters to gain air supriority, as they've got less to fight. + AA is pretty cheep to build.

Is there seriously no way do disable nuclear bombs? Seems all I can find are cheats to get them sooner & as many as you'd like...
I don't want to the AI to nuke, nor do I want to nuke anybody either. It's fine if I have to give up the nuclear tree all together.

How hard could it be? There's already custom options.
Would you like some nukes later?
1) Yes, please! 2) No, but thanks for asking! > Start game!

I HATE nukes, think it's the end of Tactics/strategy. The whole reason I'm a HOI fanatic it because I love strategy. You used to be able to select no-nukes in Hoi3 but don't think you can in Hoi4.

I wouldn't worry about it though, as the war is virtually always over by the time they come into being. I've played well over 1000hrs SP and the AI has only dropped 1 nuke on me.

Exactly! Not much strategy nor tactics in those fellows...

I do play historical mode, then again the war never ends here, right? I've read many times, there can be some nasty bugs, when hitting the '50s.
However, the bomb comes out already in '45. So when "is the war over", unless you play it very historical? ;)

Getting to the 50's. That's perseverance. I normally go to bed about 1942 and leave my generals to tidy up the mess .

I hope there is a bug, whoever needs to use nukes shouldn't play a Strategy game :) (don't lambast me all you nuke fans)

Hahaha! Well, reading about the '50s bugs, I, for some reason always considered playing till 1948 at least.
Can't very well leave my life in the hands of my generals! As the supreme ruler, how can they carry on without me at their side?
I am... Kim Young-God! They wouldn't know what to do... 31 years old, that's fairly young for a god, I'd say.

Anyway, thanks!

As far as AA for infantry units, for me this boils down to one simple consideration which will give a variable answer from nation to nation and even from game to game. The deciding factor is resources. AA only requires steel. For certain nations, steel is almost an infinite resource for practical purposes. So if as Germany I can add no more factories to more important units, like medium tanks (due most likely to tungsten supply limitations), the towed AA then becomes more attractive.

As always, it seems to be Japan getting squeezed the worst on this one since they are likely to encounter severe shortages of aluminum for aircraft but also shortages of steel which is needed for virtually everything. I find Japan's steel shortage so prevalent that I usually leave them on INF EQ I while for most other nations I will eventually upgrade at least part of my production to INF EQ II or III.

Yea, forgot about Japan (+ other countries ). I do build AA as a low priority as Japan, but don't bother giving them to any Divs while taking on China. A lot later when I've made enough, I'll give AA to Divs which I intend to go into Burma + India. Partially because I don't build much of a Land based airforce to help those troops.
