Well...
A few lucky random-events maybe, but nah... You'll have a better shot on that as Castill
DP settings, inflict on the stats on your default leaders, and thereby sometimes get generic leaders better to your strategy then a half-good historic one...
Within the game - it is quite common to see players trying to alter dp settings to get the +1 siege bonus that Venice gets in EU 1 early on when artillery is scarce. Later on there is more of a balance in gameplay between dp settings for fire, shock and siege.
I personally would stick with off. doctrine, the increased morale will probably help in storming fortresses.Within the game - it is quite common to see players trying to alter dp settings to get the +1 siege bonus that Venice gets in EU 1 early on when artillery is scarce. Now I am confused- Castile annexed and still existing? Or perhaps you mean two different scenarios. So I would need to diplo-annex Castile to take Madrid to have the event to be Spain to have the leaders to have Tordesillas... while Castile just RMs me to become Spain. You can annex Castile, then proclaim Spain. Aragon will have 10 provinces, Castile only 9.

The best solution, IMHO: Make the condition to proclaim Spain the ownership of Madrid and Barcelona or Madrid and Lisbon

Oh yes. I suppose the capital of Aragon will be in Aragon, the same way the capital of Castile is in Castilla instead of being at Toledo![]()
