Has anyone ever done a kind of timelapse thing with mods from the generator? It'd be interesting to see how these games actually developed.

I have a question for the OP or whoever may answer me. I made a new map from scratch and I want to use this tool to fill it with provinces, but my question is, what do I need to do to make this work on my custom map? Maybe all the files except the "provinces.bmp" one?

In the next update it will be able to import height maps.

Sorry everyone for the delay in getting this out. It's a tough one! Secret societies basically have their roots and tendrils throughout a ton of areas of the game that the CK2 Generator has never touched and thus has zero code to deal with.

  • Traits. All the hardcoded 'secret religion', 'sympathy with religion' require a system writing to deal with the CK2 trait system to create custom traits for the generated religions.
  • New scripted triggers for secret religions / true religions / society prerequisites require a new system to deal with scripted triggers to create all the triggers required for the society system.
  • New customisable localisation system to have scriptable localisation (the language text) requires a new system to deal with customisable localisation to allow tooltips to show prerequisites etc correctly.
  • The entire society system in itself needs a whole new system for dealing with societies. This is in progress, mostly done but a bunch of stuff not touched yet like getting characters signed up to societies in generation, and it can't be completed until everything above is.
I won't lie, it's the toughest stuff I've had to deal with yet, but will get there in the end.

This must be how the other cavemen felt when they were watching the one guy who'd learned to make fire.

For the next release could you make it more likely for kingdoms to dissolve? I've only seen it happen twice in the worlds I've generated and it always makes the world more interesting.

Hi, I don't know if this is a known issue or not, but I've been playing with this on 2.6.3 and I've noticed that a) searching for titles crashes the game and b) every single one of my children (and as far as I can tell, everyone else's children too) is born sickly.

So I'm trying to use application and I've been following the steps. I have simply linked the game install directory and chose the vanilla map then hit run generation but nothing happens.

Am I missing something? I tried doing exactly what this guy does and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: The map gen works fine by the way. Although I'd just like to mention it would be cool to have smaller brush sizes. I feel a bit ham fisted even with the small option for land.
