Could a trigger be added to the +stability random events, so that they don't fire when you're already at +3 Stability? It's less interesting to see events that have no effect (e.g. Birth of an Heir when you're already at 3), and Great Feud Ends can actually be harmful when you're poor.

Its a pain but rare, and since it has no real effect besides the clicking of the button (and the rare loan taking). I don't think it'll be implemented, unless they have one last patch in which they clean every nook and cranny.... cause its not that big of a deal.

Yes of course but I'd be against that. :) Feuds and disputes just don't quit happening when a country is stable. Sure they happen and sometimes you still gotta settle them instead of using it as an excuse to exact CB.

Some people argue that the existence of these +1 stab random events means that you are better off not investing in raising your stability past 2. Either wait for it to increase from your base level investment or hope for a good event. I don't know if I buy this myself.

I'm one of those people. :)

JohnMK: Some would say that the definition of a stable country is one in which there are no great feuds or other disturbances going on.

I'm not.

I would rather loose out on a increase in stability than loose the lesser revolt risk and higher income a +3 stab gives you.

But you're also losing out on tech research while you redirect funds to increase stability. And RR usually isn't a big issue (with me at least). If I have exceptionally high RR modifiers (from WE or whatever), I might pour my budget into stab even at +2, but otherwise I think I get more benefit from spending my money on research and waiting for +stab events or basic (non-budget) stab investment, whichever comes first.

I'm a stab 3 player, and I really don't mind those random events at stab 3.

After all, there are a LOT of good events nowadays.

What does stab 3 player mean. You actually invest ducats to get up to +3? I don't think that's very wise. :) I invest up to 2 and let time get me up to 3 for free or random events to get me up there.

Well, it's a little odd that the "Feud" event doesn't give you a choice, anyway. It seems like if any event should, one that involves sending people a gift would be one.

More generally, though, I think it's more interesting to get more varied events, and since a +stability when you're already at +3 has zero game effect (unlike a -stability at -3), I'd prefer they didn't trigger then. It's true it's not a necessary change, but it would be a very easy one.

I actually tried this in earlyer version, but it did not work.
Either it's simply not valid or I scripted it wrong.

The ending of the feud is a bit frustrating to get at +3, but I learned to live with it. And as some have said, once at +2 I reduce drastically my investment in stability.
