Too decadent relationship penalty for vassals of Byzantine emperor?

My vassals have a -10 or -15 "too decadent" in their opinion of me. Some characters have it and some do not. I'm not sure why my character has done to get this. I have craven patient, and 1k of gold. I dont have decadent as a modifier on my char. How does this work in HIP?

I thought decadence was removed in the last update, so this must be a bug. Are you using the latest version? What modules, and what start date?

I think I used all the modules including english name provinces. Only running HIP and anime portraits. Yeah using April 30th version

This only showed up once I became emperor.

That is the name of the opinion modifier you get if you accept bribes to let a viceroy keep their title.

It also gets applied as a result of a few of the imperial intrigue events, but in any case it does specify what the name of the opinion modifier is in the tooltips. You probably just didn't notice it.

Ah okay, thank you! It was definitely the bribes. Would you happen to know how long the modifier lasts? It's been about 5 years now.

You aren't having any problems running CPR+ with anime portraits? It has nothing to do with the problem you are having, but you should reinstall without CPR+ just to make sure you don't get any conflicts, as CPR+ is a portrait mod.

No problems at all so far, but it can't hurt to reinstall

Edit: actually CPR+ wasn't installed because I was missing some DLC lol. So I can't vouch for the mod interactions

Mixing CPRplus and _any other_ portrait mod will result in catastrophe; that I can tell you factually. However, in your case, this wasn't an issue, so I'm just confirming the point.
