All religions are identical in the religion file. If what you say is true there may well be no solution. I'd like to hear your evidence though please as to the above?

Sparta *did* made a deal with those they ought to punish. Nothing more, nothing less.

Perhaps Leonidas wants to punish Midas next time? We won't mind it much.

Nope, Sparta made a deal with Rome. Afterwards there was a possibility to punish someone, and Sparta chose Rome, because Rome was the next biggest thing after Troy (who Sparta hoped would go down to on par with others during the session), and of course to take advantage of the fCB too (so Sparta could DOW Rome much earlier than thought).

But that is not the point. The point is, either there was a 120 month limit, or there wasn't. If there was a time-limit, then Troy didn't do anything but take the free VP. If there wasn't a time limit, then Sparta has still plenty of time.

IMO you can't have one rule-set for one country and another rule-set for another country

Theseus and Perseus proudly announce the first Iberian Games!
This game will be also known as the 'Pelops Aid' event. It is a ritual war in praise of all the gods, with specific honours given to Ares, Hermes and Hades.

The plot:
- Theseus and Perseus fight in Peloponnesos for the 'control' of provinces (at least 4 key provinces, perhaps more. Exact details are still being worked out). Control means covering those provinces.
- Theseus agrees not to use navy at all, so Carthage can reinforce unhindered
- Perseus agrees not to invade Gaul mainland, so all combat happens in Peloponnesos
- The winner gets paid 200d in peace by the loser
- Both participants pay Pelops an approximate 100d for the use of their land (OOC as close as one can get with personal gifts and letters of introduction)
- Pelops will sell tickets to the event, recommended price the same 100d (OOC royal marriages, those who have already should pay or cancel their RM)
- Bets are of course allowed

The action begins in january 1542, which is approximately 2 years after Perseus gets equal weapons for his infantry soldiers, if Gods do not object. Any hero who disturbs the games before, during or within 2 years after them, will be punished by both participants (and hopefully Pelops, Gods and spectators too ).

Indeed. Troy also receives this bonus, which I believe is hardcoded.

I thought Troy's said +1 though.

Warning! (note to GM's)

Protestant coastal provinces still give their merchant bonus, thus giving the protestant and reformed nations a HUGE advantage in the field of trade.
No wonder I couldn't keep up with the Phoenicians and Trojans...

Sparta as reformed nation does not get this extra trader. The current available merchants for Sparta says

+1.00 coastal provinces
+3.00 Stability
+0.80 Domestic policies

All this ofcource if gods have no objections (example as we dont know what will happen in mt. Olympos before Iberian Games should start).

Pelops assumes that cover means having troops in the region, and indeed will proceed with that assumption.

And Jarkko, you may have to few coastal mainland provinces, I don't know the exact rule but I believe coastal cores and/or land-acces to ports has an effect.

Atlantis, starting with 4 land-connected, core, reformed ports, got 2. I believe that if you'd check, you would only have 1 of those. If not, I am clueless why you don't get it

Possible additional ticket:

If you want to be there yourself, buy a ticket (MA) to allow yourself and a few troops to watch. Offcourse, such looking may not impede the fighting, and Pelops will be watching. If you however come with but a thousand men, there is very little chance of impeding battles. Especially as the great mountains of Iberia offer grand views for any battles in the forests or on the plains.

These tickets are allways in addition to the second class tickets (RM), and can be bought at your local Peloponnesian trading post.

The FAQ says:

Protestant coastal provinces (*): +1 per province until a maximum of +3
(*): For these purposes, "coastal provinces" refer to port-capable ones (those that show a shoreline in the province view). A Trading Post in a port-capable province do count as a "coastal province"

Is that outdated info? It says nothing about core or land-connected...?

I dunno. I only know that Atlantis when I loaded the original scenario in 1419 got 2 from it.

My main problem was that you allied troy, not that you allied *someone*.
That is to say, I didn't aim for a 1v1 on principle, but because I wanted to avoid war with Troy. Troy, as you know, is under the protection of Apollo, twin brother of Artemis..

I could ofcourse have tried to arrange that by talking to Troy alone, but that would still force Hector to break his word.. And that, ofcourse, is not something the gods look kindly upon, so I wish not to do that to a good friend.

I let you know this now, rather than a last minute thing, but I'm not overly confident my internet connection will be fixed by the weekend. I've been promised an engineer will now look at my line and get in touch within 48 hours to schedule this, that could easily be Friday and so unlikely to be before the weekend when he actually does any work (and they don't seem to come out at the weekend).

As such, IF it doesn't get fixed by the weekend I'd like to postpone the next session rather than miss 2 in a row. Does anyone majorly object to such a postponement? I fear losing some interest in the game if I miss too much.

On the bright side it will give me extra time to script some more events and quests, and I have a few new ideas for them in the works .

If I do get my con fixed of course we'll press ahead on Sunday.

Probably last piece of Peloponnesian AAR posted, but you may yet see some ads for 'The Great Game' (never forget: buy your ticket at the local Peloponnesian merchants. If these are non-existant, it's your own fault and you need to ask your neighbours insead )
