I have to rely on the honest accessment of others as I wasn't present to see, as to whether anyone chose the punishment route and then didn't make a decent stab at trying to go through with the mission. So if anyone besides Leonidas needs to be castigated let me know

I have to agree with Pelops that it seems Belleporhon is quilty to exatly same as Leonidas using punish CB & war to execute agreed deal withou fighting even single battle. Allso in Bellerophons case it might be said to be even wors as he might be even concidered to betray hes ally in middle of war when he promised to gods punish or help Pelops punish Theseus but instead joined hes ally to execute deal he had made with Theseus who he was supposed to punish.

I think this is a religious thingy. Just because all but one of the other nations do not share the religion of Atlantis and Sparta they have been decided to be the target of religious discrimination.




Anyway, if Troy does not get slapped because they were not rapid enough to DOW, then I can't really understand why Sparta or Atlantis should be punished. AFAICS there was a time limit of 120 months, and if that was not in force, then what was the time-limit? Sparta *did* act during those 120 months, Sparta *did* grab a province from Rome. What did Troy do during those 120 months to fulfill the will of gods?

Sparta *did* act during those 120 months, Sparta *did* grab a province from Rome.

Sparta *did* made a deal with those they ought to punish. Nothing more, nothing less.

Perhaps Leonidas wants to punish Midas next time? We won't mind it much.

Well. It was a very short war. You spied, sailed to Mycene, dowed, assaulted, signed peace.

If you didn't take that Triangle, it won't be punishment at all.

And you not even knew you took the Triangle until the GM told you

Well, I did read the event, so I knew the capital was important for the punishment. (and it gave me a VP, so I guess the gods agree )

I can say a bit. I think Bellerophon was genuinely siding with Pelops because of the quest and a last-minute mindset switch (there was no agreement between me and him of taking Galicia at that point).

Only later on I said to him I understand him and it doesn't matter and thought him taking it was a good move in the end. At some point later Bellerophon spotted the temple in Tassaret and the rest is history

I agree, I always thought the punishment thingy was more a symbolic move from Zeus because he had to, and not an eternal CB to ruthlessly destroy three nations

Well, I can say that Bellerophon pre-session claimed that he had made a deal with Theseus, and even if he didn't, taking a single lvl 1 colony without a fight is hardly punishment.


And I truly wonder why the Gods let Bellerophon see Ireland, but well...

Gary, I have emailed you my list of recommended responses to each individual hero who wanted to "Punish <insert miscreant's name here>". I doubt many of them agree with my recommendations, but hey, they already scored +1VP just as part of making the promise, and a man really should follow through on what he promises his gods.

So might be there was no finished treaty just maybe understanding but even so Bellerophons actions makes it look mutch different.

I can't speak for what Bellerophon planned, but I genuinely thought he was siding with Pelops .. I mean I got only a 'Sorry Theseus' instead of a 'No worries Theseus' message, and he had just picked the punishment option.

That is an essentially correct interpretation. Slightly bigger prizes were given if anyone had succeeded vs Autolycus or Theseus also, though not by a lot, as Zeus didn't really want to punish Heracles.

Ahem, let's tone the size down please .

All religions are identical in the religion file. If what you say is true there may well be no solution. I'd like to hear your evidence though please as to the above?

The deal for Galicia was never solidified, because I never pledged to help Theseus against Pelops.

And helping Theseus? Admittedly, it was more of an attempt to stifle Carthage's expansion. Someone was going to grab Tassaret, and I didn't want it to be Carthage. Unfortunately I was the only one to see Perseus' growing power and alone I could not stop him from gaining his fifth temple for free.
