Hehe "too difficult" huh? I learnt the basics of EU2 (to an extent so that it was playable for me), with Sweden in two hours. It was on 1.02 though, but even in the latest Beta it should be possible to learn the basics really quickly.

Victoria is an entirely different matter though, it took me 12 hours to ahieve the same level of mastering so I wouldn't go bankrupt all the time.

Mr. Impaler are you implying that you had a never lose strategy for Civ2? Sorry, I don't believe you unless you played the easiest prince level. The MGE patch made the game much more challenging, and you needed near perfect play to beat the AI on hardest level. Comparing Civ2 to EU2 on historical accuracy is wrong. Civ2s tech tree is much more historically accurate. For instance researching gunpowder as opposed to war in laces? I've never heard this term before EU2, switching to democratic government as opposed to researching central government? Now look what you've made me do, trash one of my most favorite games naughty naughty. Say what you want I won't hear any of it, I'm not listening. Both games are excellent period.

PS my wonder polls are regularly near the top at civfanatics.com My nick is famous!
Rail road in 1000AD is hardly historically acurate. ;)
