I think Daniel is looking Good Now, has some 250+ Divisions, though less than 10% are MOT/ARM/MECH, mostly level II foot infantry, but good solid ones, experienced ones too.
Even if a D-Day happens, it is certainly not going to be a cakewalk like the RL one instead it is going to be a second "Battle of Italy" type meat-grinder and shorter supply lines vs better air-forces for Johan should make it an interesting battle.

Also, Japan player did well, with the USSR and China ganging up, he managed to conquer Vladivostok and Beijing and Shanghai (some port for sure, not sure if it was Shanghai).

So, now with USSR pushed so far back, what happens next? Can Germany simply fortify their current position and wait for USSR to give concessions, or will they have to march through Siberia to claim their victory from Stalin's cold, dead hands?
The last bar showed that the USSR would almost surrender, so he'd likely have to capture one or two important cities to be able to organize a treaty in Brest-Litovsk. Also, Stalin was a traitor to the soviet cause, who unrightfully took power for himself, but luckily comrade Trotsky deposed the evil tyrant:p....

No, only 80-85 in Russia, some 40 in Finland and Nordic lands and the balance i.e. over 100 in Germany and France.

Beating the Soviets in one campaign with only 85 divisions? That's a new one.

Without the USSR keeping Germany busy, and with Spain, Portugal, and Yugoslavia and their armies/navies all in the Axis, I honestly can't see the allies having an easy go at it whether they pick France or Italy. I think they'll fail an invasion of Europe., especially with Africa now in play because of Turkey.

On another note I really would like to see a WWW that properly shows Japan's naval potential. Ie. a Human play actually showing how possible an invasion of the US would be, or how hard it would be in HOI4. Or maybe even Japan/Germany invading the US with the aid of Mexico/latin America. The Americas are an area that I'm curious how the war could be taken to them and how realistic/difficult that would be.

- Its the point a nation's government collapses and is forced into exile. Any local troops will lay down their arms and the rest of the area will surrender. If you are not in a faction at this point the game triggers a peace conference where the victors can decide what to do with you. If you are in a faction the attacker needs to beat the other major members to force a peace conference, meanwhile (if you have any) you can continue the fight in exile from colonies.

We had the issue last week, that GB could send troops and ships through the Öresund. Looks like it is not restricted.
In the www video Johan briefly pushes some buttons on one of his fleets. A popup is shown which reads something like
"Fleets in a coastal seazone on hold can bloack a strait".

I read it as a strait is not automatically blocked. You have to have a fleet in the strait. UK could then break the blockade by naval force which Johan apparently did. This could be prevented by Germany by flooding the airforce region with naval bombers. I recon UK would much rather withdraw from the strait then have IC costly naval forces sunk by, by comparison, low IC costly planes.

From HOI3 we are used to that straits are blocked if you occupy one of the sides. If HOI4 models you can pass straits with enemy occupied coastal provinces some sort of coastal gunfire attrition should be implemented (and building of coastal guns). That includes supply to the fleet going though the strait.

strait blockign is bugged ATM in the build they are playing so it doesnt work as intended

I am glad that the game is not near release. The game looks to be crippled with a totally ineffective AI at both strategic and tactical levels. Why would Turkey join the allies leaving itself open to an attack from Germany when it could ask to join if and when the Germans attacked it? Where was the Russian army? Either we missed it or Germany attacked Russia without using any airforces.

The supply system needs a major overhaul (or rebalance ) The German advance into Russia (or anywhere else ) seems to cause no problems at all.

The German advance into Russia seems to have been continuous without any effect on German unit organisation.

Daniel ditched artillery, removed most support brigades and built-up a huge pile of infantry weapons and avoided the pitfalls of attrition, if Jacob had done the same, he wouldn't have been so successful.

Can I clarify this means produced equipment as well? And if so is it what's stockpiled or/ and what's in the surrendering divisions? Does this include ships and aircraft?

Will historically correct flags be included? My understanding is that national flags can change depending on the political makeup of the government, so does this mean the German and Japanese national flags are included for non-fascist governments? I'd prefer to have the WW1-era German flag than the censored WW2 version in the current screenshots, for example.

Just curious.
