For example, is terraforming possible to take any planet (tomb, gas giant etc) all the way up to gaia given enough time and resources?
Endgame option, with limited use.
No "every world becomes Gaia by the end of the game".
Not sure to what extent and how often though. They only did it so they could show off the mechanic, it may not be a good strategic move that early in the game considering the steep costs. Not necessarily endgame, in the blorg game they already do this in the mid game
I didn't think we'd seen terraforming? We saw enlightening and there was a Gaia world but that was in another Empire's space. Or have I missed something? Not sure to what extent and how often though. Yeah they started terraforming a planet in one of the previous streams I think, they didn't linger over it very long and I can't remember if they actually pulled the trigger, but there was a discussion of the mechanic and some of the menus were shown.I didn't think we'd seen terraforming? We know we need terraforming gases and liquids (strategic resources). The question is: Are they consumed if you terraform a planet (the number of terraformations would be very limited), or just used while you terraform (so only the number of simultaneous terraformations would be limited)
I believe he changed his mind because of this whole war with the Unjust League. But he wanted to.
Didn't he also say it takes a lot of energy, or am I remembering wrong?
Gonna take a lot of snowblowers to turn this sucker arctic.Think so. I'd prefer it to take a lot of EVERYTHING, not just energy.

Sorry I can't, it was a real quick thing. Best I can tell you is that I think it was either 2 or 3 weeks ago.If its not too much trouble, which stream if you can remember? i'd love to go check it out

Terraforming shouldn't even be an option, it's so cliched and a waste of time when you can just colonize another world.
