Since there's already a thread discussing one more expansion, me and, I'm sure, a few more people are curious... Could a poll be made asking the same question the last poll did, if the userbase wants a new expansion?

This way this will show if there's enough viable interest for one more expansion, depending on how HttT is selling of course. Perhaps even, if this is viable, this expansion be made from all user requests alone, if that's even possible to accommodate.

Anyway, I'm just curious to see if there's a lot of demand for one more expansion or if people prefer to move on to other projects, like EU4.

Whilst there are still things that could be fixed, I'd gain a lot more from, say, CK2

They aren't going to make CK2 while Vicky 2 is still being made. Expansions take ALLOT less work then whole new games do.

I don't see there being another expansion after heir. In fact I beleive that this expansion only came around because the coding for some of the ideas were done for Victoria 2 and the development team felt they could copy it with only minor adjustments and that was half the expansion done. Not saying that that is a bad thing. Maybe when they are coding CK2 they will decide to port over some of the features to EU3 and call it an expansion.

I really can't think of many things that can't be fixed via a mod of some sort. Even the effort to make an Asia-Based expansion is somewhat redundant given the abundance of mods that deal with the area.

Hence why a poll would be interesting, since it would show if people are open for the idea of one more expansion.

Me, if there was a new expansion, I would love it to see it centered on everything outside Europe, The Americas, Africa and Asia.

After a few patches, I think it will and should be up to the community to perfect HTTT.

Also if they arent working on more EU3 expansions then they should hopefully be able to finish Vicky 2 sooner, and then be able to start on CK2 quicker!

Why is it silly? We're just helping Paradox to become more market-lead in their approach

Allow me to dispel some illusions here. We have two teams at Paradox, one making whole new games, the other completely dedicated to making expansions. While the teams do of course interact and cooperate, we do not do each other's work, or try to recycle and repackage features from one game and call it an expansion for another.

Which makes me wonder what the expansion team would be currently doing, besides patches HTTT. Working on a HOI3 expansion?

Probably they're doing the post-release support for HTTT now (That is, patch 4.1). After that it's likely going to be the HoI3 expansion.

Because it's virtually impossible for players to have experienced the features of HTTT in fullest yet? A single playthrough is not enough to see all the possibilities, and I don't think many people have completed several Grand Campaigns already, do you?

Neither have we seen what the modding community is going to come up with. If the HTTT version of WWM would integrate Trin Tragula's promising upcoming Asian mod, I can imagine that would totally satisfy the people who are currently requesting an 'Asian expansion'.

Yeah thats the likely situation, a HOI3 XP for sometime in Spring/Summer, or even better a Rome XP.

But personally I think this should be the last XP for EU3, after Vicky2 and inevitablly CK2 they should move onto EU4.

HOI3 still needs a few more patches before it deserves a dedicated expansion!
