While I understand that paradrops are the only way to defeat the Americans, I can't help but feel it has become an exploit. A one without you wouldn't have won the Russians in the first place. Dig in, destroy organization with bombings and then cut off with massive paradrops.

It's been fun to observe how you have won your AAR:s partially because of bugs or glitches: first the manpower bug and now the AI:s inability to reinforce it's troops and keep a stategic reserve. Although of course I regognise a good player when I see one. I probably would have failed before you took on the Russians.

Still, I'm going to follow to the Americans bitter end!

Yes,I have previously discussed this issue and said that this AAR has been experimental more than anything. However, the glitches work both ways. The US inaction (for 20years) has led to an enormous force of 2500-3000 brigades on its own soil. There is no really viable alternative to defeat such a force.
Who knows what would have happened throughout this campaign had the AI been perhaps 50% 'smarter'.

Having 20% of your army as paratroopers might be an exploit in 1939 but it must be much less an exploit in 1959! I have always liked to save my limited paratroopers to sieze the one province my sweeping mobile forces will struggle to reach but this is only possible with air superiority. In a recent 1.4RC10 game, I was never abe to achieve air superiority sufficient to deliver my paras when and where I needed them. Much like real life Germany, I was forced to use them as ground forces. New patches change the reality of war.

This has been a great read. Keep up the great work!

Yes,it looks a little familiar doesn't it.Although IF large sections of the US army can be pocketed, they won't be left to starve for a year like the Russians. The objective is swift and decisive annhilation.

Is it a bird? Is it a snowflake? No, it's a Japanese paratrooper ... and he brought some friend along ... lots of friends, actually. :D

I can't believe people are complaining about exploits in a game where he took over as Japan in mid 1944 - a desperate situation if ever there was one - and managed to conquer all of Asia, Europe Africa, and is now advancing on Disney World:)

Your North American Empire looks so ... patchy. Time to clean up that mess and paint everything a soothing ochre.
