Following the rapid Japanese advance into British territory, the UK began to withdraw some of its forces from the India/Persia border. With this development in mind,Tojo decided to go on the offensive across the border with the aim of capturing the southern Persian coast, hopefully linking together with the rest of the Middle-East.

The Invasion of Russia:Tojo's Basic Plan
The first stage of the attack will see Japanese forces push north through the rest of the British and Persian territory (1 and 2).These forces will eventually drive north to form a line east and west of the north Caspian Sea.The line will safeguard the western flank of the invasion against Russian reinforcements and other International forces arriving from the west.
Map 1
Once forces 1 and 2 have crossed into Russian territory, the rest of the invasion force will begin to move.A
'massive' airborne invasion will begin to the rear of the Russian frontline with the aim of forming and holding a line while the bulk of the invasion force advances. The main invasion force(3,4 and 5 will advance towards the airborne divisions from the west and from the east. The main objective:
encircle the Red Army
Several divisions(6)will break-off from the eastern invasion force to secure the northern and north-eastern perimeter.
Map 2
No date has yet been confimed for the invasion. It will of course require a huge force and a significant amount of time to prepare. In addition, the large number of airborne divisions needed will take some time to recruit and train.Hopefully, the invasion could be launched in the summer.
The Air Campaign
A limited air-campaign will begin shortly. This will increase over time depending on rates of fuel consumption. The air campaign will target both Russian ground forces and supply routes and infrastructure.
