Can't resist... just can't... de-lurking now ;)

The family name of the good marshal was in fact Rydz. Smigly is actually nom-de-guerre, means "agile" or "fast" in Polish (the word is not used anymore and sounds very old-fashioned now). Rydz in turn is a name of a delicious wild mushroom. I think the guy had his share of childhood fights because of his family name. No wonder he took nom-de-guerre and then insisted on using it with his family name. He is known in Poland as Rydz-Smigly, Smigly-Rydz is also found here and there. Smigly alone is rare.
Wiki entry on the mushroom as a bonus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactarius_deliciosus
I feel better now... lurking again ;)

LOL, that's epic! But, to be honest, I just used only Smigly because I'm way too lazy to constantly write: 'Rydz-Smigly' :p. But this is some interesting writing information... Who would have thought the hero of Koscialkowskia is called: agile mushroom?

Welcome, by the way! I always knew there would be a few lurkers...

You inspired me to try a 0% neutrality poland for the fun of it. And while the polonisation of eastern europe goes overall very smoothly, i always have a huge shortage of man power, and when the time to germans come ask me danzig i have not much more troops than in 1936. How did you manage to have enough men to kill off the germans ?

I tried to get my self in the comintern as a result, but what happens is USSR removes all their troops from the huge pole border, and when i go fight the germans, no russians come to the fight (they all chill near turkey or finland)

Don't wait for Danzig or war. I believe it gives the Germans bonuses, and you need to attack early on, because the German army isn't as big as it will be when they declare Danzig or war.

Besides that, you need luck and expeditionary help, which the UK gave me. Just set some allied objectives in provinces you occupy.

And, the manpower problem counts for me as well. In preparation for Koscirossa, I waited until 1942 ! To allow my manpower reserves to restore.

Also, snatch victory points and force surrender fast, while attacking eastern countries, as to preserve manpower.

EDIT: During the GER-POL war, my manpower was zero most of the time, but it was the same for the Germans. And since I had more infantry (from my massive amounts of puppets) the Germans were grinded down.

CHAPTER 13: The "Fight" For India

hoi3game2013-01-0715-48-22-79_zpsd30d4bd8.jpg

Koscialkowski: ‘Don’t mind the vicious battle of Londen over there, Smygli. That was just my imagination.’

Smygli: ‘If you say so, boss. So, what’s this report about?’

Koscialkowski: ‘Us legitly winning the 1942 elections! The OZN is back in the game, baby!

Smygli: ‘I noticed Mosicki up top. Isn’t he supposed to be like… Well… Our leader?’

Koscialkowski: ‘Impossibru. I’m clearly our leader!’

Koscialkowski: ‘Whatever, the head of state’s a figurehead anyways. I don’t do figureheading, I go for complete and absolute power!!!’

Smygli: ‘Yeah, right. So, how’s the war progressing?’

Koscialkowski: ‘Well, we recovered a little, replenished our troops in the last two years, prepared for Koscirossa… Recruits aren’t exactly flowing in, but… We’ve got other concerns?’

Smygli: ‘Concerns? My god, has Hitler returned? Have the Arabs shaken off British tyranny and are they rising against us? Are our puppets revolting, which isn’t even mathematically possible since they can’t revolt?’

Koscialkowski: ‘Errr… Well, this is an embarrassment… Remember how I like offered the British help in exchange for supreme, utter and complete dictatorship over the lowly peasants of Europe?’

Smygli: ‘Yeah, so what?’

Koscialkowski: ‘I like… Kind of forgot we didn’t have any transports.’

Smygli: ‘That’s a lie! We had transports all the time!’

Koscialkowski: ‘If you weren’t so valuable I’d shoot you on the spot, you know. You’ve got me. It’s more embarrassing. I kind of… Forgot I promised the English help…’

Smygli: ‘I don’t like where this is going…’

hoi3game2012-12-2915-19-32-84_zps6522b201.jpg

Koscialkowski: ‘But that’s okay, we’ll send these guys some help.’

Smygli: ‘But, we’re risking trapping our masses of highly trained infantry!’

Koscialkowski: ‘Nope. I’ve already arranged for the necessary pacts.’

hoi3game2013-01-0614-39-35-52_zps4b975b17.jpg

Smygli: ‘So, we help the British, but if we lose, we flee and turn our back on them in order to survive ourselves?’

Koscialkowski: ‘Exactly! Isn’t it a stroke of genius?’

Smygli: ‘Errr… Sure… I suppose…

WAR REPORT

hoi3game2013-01-0614-45-01-80_zps4591482d.jpg

The situation in India was critical. The English were in danger of complete local destruction of their forces, something Koscialkowskian high command would rather not see happening. These are the records of the struggle for India:

hoi3game2013-01-0615-03-20-39_zps95f241a7.jpg

That’s right. When the risks became too big, the Koscialkowskians retreated to avoid encirclement and fled, leaving their allies to die. Chamberlain was not amused. However, he had some bigger issues to deal with…

hoi3game2013-01-0615-20-13-68_zpsdaf1d02e.jpg

Oops. It seemed that Koscialkowskia was better of brokering a deal with Japan, and the opportunity for this deal would rise soon…

DISCLAIMER: I'll see how fast I've got a new update for you guys. I'm currently modding my game like crazy, so we'll see... Let me give you a hint about one of the modifications: did you know you can edit flags... :)
