Seriously, I did.

Using photoshop.

The five-pointed star and the moon crescent are both symbols of Islam (well, the moon more than the star, but look at morrocon modern flag).

So I decided than adding a star to the crescent to differantiate them would be better than the round blob Paradox choose.

PS: The jewish star is 6-pointed so it is different.

Besides, that isn't even the pagan symbol, that's the sun worship symbol

Off the top of my head, all cultures that are pagan in EU II are sun-worshippers...except (a huge exception, btw) the Northern Native Americans. Am I right? Would the sun-symbol be therefore sorta accurate in its own way?

The Aztec religion is not a solar religion, as say, the worship of Aten is solar worship. The Aztecs had a pantheon of gods, albeit extremely different from European or Vedic pantheons, yet in other ways very similar. For a look into Aztec gods go here:

The Mayans however, there was an odd bird religiously. Unlike the Aztecs, who adopted comfortable anthropomorphic deities, the Mayans worshipped cosmic unknowable forces of the universe personified into various forms that they wore as humans would put on a new coat. They never, I might add, personified as humans, but rather as monsters straight out of Godzilla.

In EU2 there are only one group of sun worshippers in the whole world, and they are portrayed as Hindu. The Rajputs.
