Stay out of towns, set up kill zones with fire support vehicles, set up AA early since they double-up as fire support, and hold onto your ankles. Hotkey all of your AA into a control group so you can target ducks, grab Calliopes to bring in the thunder, and make a slow push back into areas to contest. Most importantly, be where they're not so you don't lose too much ground. You gotta play wide early.

This is much easier said than done of course, because you literally have some of the worst infantry in the game while they have some of the absolute best. Watch out for their machine-gun vetted pop guns, and vetted 105s are very nice.

Replace every plane slot with fighters and bring a full AA tab because you will need it. Commanders by the AA trucks to up your chance of kills.

Welcome to hell. Shermans do well in this matchup so at least you get that.

The 3AD's saving grace (and one its greatest weaknesses) is HT spam. Without them, you are basically screwed vs the 3rd Falls in infantry combat. Fight in areas you can levy your HT advantage and be aggressive with tanks (Phase A Cmd Stuart is nice). Keep out of Panzershrek range of forests and you'll have an easy enough time. Essentially, avoid forests like the plague.

Fields/hedges are your strong areas vs the 3rd, but towns are also entirely winnable as well. Don't feel bad waiting out a town filled with Falls, as your HTs and arty make defending a town pretty hellish.

Don't go where they are strong. Towns.

Halftracks and Shermans do well against them, you just have to watch out for their AT guns (and unique support guns that can fire AT rounds)

So you want to bring some mortars / arty and keep bringing it.

Bring AA with your sherman death ball, because he will try and AT plane sniper your sherman column.

3rd Falls want to get you in a preferably mid range infantry fight, where their infantry will rip yours to shreds, their MGs behind them will rip you to shreds and their mortars and support will kill everything.

What they don't want is to have an armoured column of high HE tanks rolling through open ground with arty smashing every AT or support gun that fires a shot.

Send halftracks in front of your tanks to scout out the AT.

.30 cal jeep/HT meatshield?

I'm prefer A phase shermans. They are pretty save vs 8-10 ap. Even 11 not a big problem if you supress AT gun fast enough. Shermans got 5 HE for they main gun also. For me it works like this : sherman start to attack and HT with 50 cal charge after.

I just can't find space for phase A Sherman because I like 2 76 in B but generally I agree

I honestly would avoid engaging 3. FJ as the Spearhead. Maybe something cheesy would do, like HT and Stuarts push to overwhelm AT on a certain vector of attack, but these AT are so cheap and so good that if I were 3. FJ in this match up I would've easily deployed a couple of them, plus some panzerschreck in a nearby bushes.
I think the most stable course is to dig in and wait for B and bigger income.
